Mine is either

baked potato with cheese
or
egg on toast

need some inspiration. Was in the superdoop on Thursday and saw the super noodles - ooh I used to love them. Chucked them in the trolley, got them out of the cupboard tonight and they contain 14 e-numbers - 14

unbelievable

Spag bol.
i make my own from scratch so do big batches and freeze so there is always some on the freezer.

alternatives to that are those sausage and beans in a tin on toast...i know its terrible but DS loves them.

Scrambled egg with tomatoes and peppers on toast.

toast pizza's. basicly just toast with some whizzed toamtoes, oregano and cheese. i let the kids make their own and they really like them

I'm sure boiled vermin would be nourishing - after all protein is protein

Now, now Moondog! We all know beef wellington is lovely but it is a fart to do if you are pushed. There are loads of nice healthy things we can do which are quite quick and simple. Although agree about the tinned sausages and supernoodles GIVE 'EM EGGS

Spanish omelette - cheats version, chop onion and potato and micro for a few mins with some frozen peas until everything soft. Then stir into couple of eggs, little milk and some grated cheese. Fry it first for 3-5 mins then grill for about the same. Serve with baked beans to guarantee wuffy farts!!!

TBH I don't really have such a thing. Although I always reckon that pasta cooks quicker than rice or any form of potato and couscous and noodles are quicker still.

On the super noodles point - did I read somewhere that Pot Noodles are actually not all that bad ... or did I make that up?

suejoneziscalmernow · 07/10/2006 19:07

whats wrong with noodles? No differnt to pasta I would have thought.

Eh Lockets? Do you know something I don't? Shepherd's pie takes me an age to cook. Probably the quickest things I make are pasta dishes.

Sometimes if you can be organised with the potatoes or if you cheat and microwave them, jacket potatoes and chilli can be quite quick.
