I have never tried one - am I missing out? If so which do you recommend? I like sickly things lol eg on a carrot cake prefer the frosting to the actual cake - would never be interested in just a blueberry muffin for example - too plain for me.
thanks

Was just in Tesco and looked at them - one of them, a choc praline one I think was £1.75 for one, the cheapest was the glazed £1.35 - so expensive - makes me sound tight perhaps but really not sure I would pay that for one..........

They appear to be neither Krispy or Kremey.

I have had several opportunities to consume one. But I've never actually wanted to bring one to my lips.

[homer simpson drool] mmmm doughnuts
Asda do quite a good own brand version of the original - obviously much cheaper.
We stayed at a hotel in the states once with free brekkie which was basically chocolate cereal or krispy kremes - I left at least a stone heavier..

They taste synthetic but it's one of those "so bad it's good" things. I love the plain, the maple glazed and the jam ones

Strawberry and kreme is my fave. The millionaire's shortbread one is yummy too but a bit more sickly iykwim. Not keen on the others though.

I get the same feeling eating one as I would drunk texting an ex. Seems like a good idea at the time but end up regretting it and feeling all ashamed.

The Strawberry and Kreme is soo good as is the Strawberry Gloss and the Glazed Raspberry.
Not so keen on the chocolate ones as I think the chocolate tastes a bit cheap.

They are revolting. Taste really synthetic.

Not a big donut fan here based on the supermarket ones but I have to say Krispy Kreme ones are great.

Did you know you can freeze them too? I go to France via Portsmouth fairly frequently and always pick some up for the French freezer. They keep well and are a great treat.

Strawberry ones for me though.

Used to love them until I looked at the massive list of ingredients - no wonder they taste synthetic, they don't contain any real ingredients. Wouldn't touch them now, not even tempted.

In the Bull Ring in Birmingham you can see them being made and when I've had to queue to be served they come out with a hot plain one for every person in the queue.

Delish!

As for favourite? I like the apple ones.

Definitely worth a taste x

A big disappointment. No different to Greggs.

Used to love them but then I found out they contain trans fats so I stopped buying them.

Xiao I've read about cronuts. There were massive queues from stupid o'clock in the morning and they restrict two per customer. I wonder if they live up to the vibe?

I don't like KrispyKremes but I am somewhat desperate to try a cronut. My manhattan cousins are wild about them - they're donuts made with croissant dough Shock

Inhaled 8 original ones once without drawing breath. Was proud and disgusted all at once and my conscience only just stopped me polishing off the remaining 4!

Chocolate glazed, custard filled are my fave but soooo sweet can only manage one!

They've got a bit of a funny taste to them I think... Like a particular synthetic tang, and they are very sweet. But sometimes that can hit the spot!

Nothing beats fresh 'seaside' doughnuts though. I'm a bit obsessed by those.

Original glazed, kruller, maple donut. Best ones in the universe.

Vile and ridiculously overpriced. Even my doughnut loving youngest agrees.

LOL it is hard to stop at just one!

They seem to sell them in most Tesco stores and there are loads of Tescos near me - I have always walked past them - they are always near the door and newspapers - I will take a look next time I am there and there is a Tesco about half an hour away from me that has a Krispy Kreme store on the ground floor - I am rather worried that I won't stop at one though.
