Films I can watch with teen DCs that don't have sexual content?

On netflix or Amazon prime... They're 12and 14 and every time I find a "good exciting" film there's always some kind of sexual implications or scene that makes us all cringe and it's uncomfortable.
Any good suggestions?

Some of the Studio Ghibli's for older kids (but they'd enjoy all of them - except Pom Poko which is weird, and Grave of the Fireflies which is gutwrenchingly sad) - Only Yesterday is excellent, and Whisper of the Heart, and From Up On Poppy Hill, and Ocean Waves, Porco Rosso, Princess Mononoke and Howl's Moving Castle.

Sorry if some of them are a bit scary. I loved scary films at that age.

I do feel for you all op I remember watching scary movie with my mum and stepdad as a teeb and cringing sooo badly at the rude bits.

I'd recommend Disney+ of you can get it. It's £5.99 a month and loaded with content that is all family friendly. They even censored mermaid butt cheeks in Splash, quite awfully, but they did.

Start with the marvel.movoes, or the Pixar films. 👍

The Arrival and Inception are pretty good hero-esque movies and they're pretty sobering as well.

Aside from that, what would do you girls think about Hellboy? Not the most recent one, but specially Hellboy II: The Golden Army. I found it to be much more lighthearted that the most recent one, that had quite some gore.

We watched Yesterday the other day - proper cheesy Sunday afternoon fluffy film. Mild swearing and no sex. I watched with my pre teens and they liked it despite not really understanding much about the Beetles.

Edward Scissorhands! We watched it last night, it's so good. Basically any Tim Burton film is perfect for that age.

Erin Brockovich - it is a 15 but mainly for swearing. One scene we had to fast forward but most of it was fine and prompted a good discussion.

Mine are the same-ish age. Mouse hunt with lee Evans. The money pit with Tom Hanks (very aged but they laughed a lot!), fawlty towers, and some mothers do have’em. They love slapstick Funny stuff.

Yes I think that is out of the ordinary. Films like that are in no way suitable for under 18s. Or anyone at all, really.

Also bothered by the choke request mentioned, in Locke and Key. Like a pp I hate the insidious creep of porn into films for this age group.

We watched Knives Out, which was great. DS2 found the scene in the deserted laundrette really unsettling and was unhappy about the initial death even though we’d talked about it before, so if you have a very sensitive child there are a couple of tricky points.

You aren't fine because you are recommending someone sit down with their 12 year old and watching Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

Watching it secretly with mates, fine. Sitting with your mum so it's normalised, not fine.
