applications invited for pilot programme of free online self management of bipolar - Regulation Of Elation and Depression Online (please admire my clever acronym!)

ideally for people who have had CBT or been on a self management course in the past, or who have experience of living with the condition and have been diagnosed for five years or more as the course assumes some working knowledge of the principles of self management

please email rodeocourse at gmail dot com

the course has been developed partly by me (have been facilitating and running courses and self help groups for nearly ten years) in conjunction with a dr who is a researcher into the causes and treatments of mood disorders and has published in the field etc

Hopefully you've had an email from me and one with some useful info from the medical director should be on its way

I currently work in rehab and recovery, and although we don't have any clients who fit the criteria at the moment, we may do in the future.
It would be great if you could send me details, I have CAT (I think!). But will e-mail you too. Thanks.

Can send you details if you work with anyone who might be interested - they need to have been diagnosed 5+yrs and either attended mdf SMT or STEADY course or had CBT as this is really a top up, refresher. Participants need to be familiar with own relapse signature, life-charting etc. Uses the best of those courses plus draws upon CBT techniques, interpersonal and social rhythms therapy and family focused therapy. They also need to be fairly stable.
