Charlottesmum5, I really recommend you go to low carb boot camp section and have a good read.

But here is a starter article
authoritynutrition.com/how-many-carbs-per-day-to-lose-weight/

Fat does not make you fat.
Processed carbs do.
Eating fat won't make you ill, it will make you full.
It will make your body switch to fat burning mode.
But only if you cut out sugar and carbs.
Everything you were told about fat is wrong.
Example daily menu for me

Scrambled eggs with butter, smoked salmon.

Chicken, avocado, bacon and spinach salad with olive oil and lime and thyme dressing

Steak and broccoli and garlic mushrooms in cream sauce

Greek yogurt with 5 sliced strawberries.

Drink: water, fizzy water, black coffee, green tea, gin and slimline at weekend.

Shred every other day and swim or if no time, 10 min jumping jacks, press ups, ab crunches and dumb bells.

But seriously look at low carb boot camp.

Sure you can. Fast for a week and you'll drop a stone.

Water is like oil fr your car- it lubricates your body throughout and helps it perform at peak efficiency.

High fat medium protein? What?

Why does drinking lots of water help? Also can you give me examples of high fat foods, medium protein?

I've lost half a stone in just under 3 weeks and dropped from 14 to size 12 doing 5:2 and high fat medium protein low carb plus The Shred and Swimming. My body shape has already changed a lot. See low carb bootcamp rules and read up on why you need fat first otherwise it makes you hungry and tired.

Also only drink at weekends; 2 glasses dry wine a night, nothing in week.

Think a stone might be v tricky as weightloss slows after first week - 2 lb a week is about the max after first week waterloss and de-bloating.

You also need to drink A LOT of water - about 3l a day.

I have a stone to lose in 4 weeks.

Starting yesterday I am only going to eat small amounts of fruit and protein in the day, then a low card but proper dinner in the evening. Realistically I will often have a large glass of wine with my evening meal. No bread, pasta, rice or potatoes. Lots of low fat protein, fruit and veg.

It has to be done cos I cant afford to buy a new holiday wardrobe.

Į doubt doing the 5/2 yoų would, you would need to do a meal replacement diet to lo?ė quickly.Alternatively why dont you opt for a swimming cossie. M and S do great body shaping costumes that support/ helo hide lumpy bits.

You probably could doing strict low carb.

Not with 5 and 2 though, I think that is a more gentle and slower weight loss.

If you do boot camp rules low carb (see loads of threads on here with the rules) I a, sure a crash diet of a stone is possible, I have lost a stone in a month and I cheated a few times.

More than 4 pounds each week? Seems unlikely, sorry. But you could still make a difference with a combination of diet and exercise.
