My exercise regime is in need of a bit of organisation - I tend to do a combination of gym, running, classes and DVDs. I've ditched the classes because they don't fit my schedule. I love running/gym and I tend to use a DVD to keep an eye on/tone up my tummy. I've been using an ancient Claudia Schiffer one for donkeys but have read that sit ups aren't great for your back. So, I got JM's 6 Week 6 pack. It's hard but fairly enjoyable.

First question, I think it's recommended 5 days a week over 6 weeks but tbh, I'm after integrating it into my routine long term and 5 days a week is not realistic. Maybe I'll do the 6 weeks initially, I don't know. Do you think a 2/3 times is realistic once I'm at maintenance? I get to the gym or go running 2-3 times a week (depending on time and if i'm trying to lose a couple of pounds or maintain weight or if I need the mental release).

Secondly, I'm in the market for new trainers. Two pairs so not too expensive I guess. One pair for the gym and one would be for running. (I know I could get one pair but my gym kit lives at my desk, the running kit at home, I'm trying to ensure all the barriers to my routine are removed!). If anyone can advice, that'd be fab.

Thanks

Hi - I have vibrams for gym running and asics for outdoor running .. I was lucky and got them for a steal at the closing down sale of a sports shop . I find they use slightly different muscle groups ?!?! Don't know of that makes sense - but vibrams are almost like running barefoot - so that's why I guess .
I have just invested in fitbit technology - great for keeping you on track with training and stuff - you can adapt it to add your own workout stuff too - might be just what you need to get organised !!
Good luck with it all :-)
