Comfy pants and paracetamol are at the ready. Just the removal of hair to be done now.

It is so on the tip of my tongue to crack some jokes like "it's going to be nothing compared to what I went through twice having our two dd's" but I mustn't!
I'm it's going to be very uncomfortable for him so I must try and be sympathetic.

What you need to know is that it's much much worse than childbirth and warrants hours of lying around being an annoying wuss. Also - when delivering semen samples for testing afterwards don't lob it through the hospital delivery box thingy so hard that the container cracks .

Ewwwwwwwwww! I won't tell dh that bit! He's scared of needles, poor lamb

I think DH has handled it well - all things considered. They had problems finding the tube on one side so had to do a lot more pulling and prodding

Sparkler1 - I'll be interested to hear if he gets on ok - as I said, mine isn't brave enough yet! (He's nearly 47 the great big wuss, you think enough of his mates would've told him it was ok, wouldn't you?)

Yes it will but I bet hell makes such a bloody fuss about it.He came back for his doocs with some sterooid cream to put on it twice a day. Aparantly it will thin the blood a bit so his foreskin will stretch a little more. Has he put any on? No ofcourse he hasnt And they wonder why its the women that take the pill....

Hi fortyplus!! LOL - He's ok thanks for asking.
He is starting to walk normally now - thank goodness. Feeling sore though. Dressing has to come off tonight, so that should be interesting.

Give him a slap on the back, punch on the arm and tell him not to be a big jessie about it

He came straight in the door and sat down. I had to go off and pick up dds1 and 2 from my friends and while I was out he said that he had got up to get something to eat. He said he went giddy and so went and sat back down again.
I've just made him a sandwich.
He is very jumpy and nervous when people walk anywhere near him at the moment.

Make sure he rests. That seems to make alot of difference to how well they recover. From what I have been told quite a few men do too much in the day afterwards, as it doesn't feel too bad then, but then pain kicks in after a couple of days.

The job is done. In and out in half an hour. DH says he isn't feeling sore. He describes it as a dull, achey feeling that's making him feel sick - same feeling as being kicked. I'm being kind to him.

Sparky - there is NOO pain involved. Just lots of tenderness later. Good luck.

The Radio 2 prog said the problem is that men breeze out feeling fine so then they do too much. If he follows the advice he should be fine.
