Ikea Hemnes day bed

I'm intent on do ion updating my daughter's room, now that she's almost 3.
She currently has the Leksvik stuff.
I'm thinking of this:

It could be like a sofa to sit on. But mattress isn't standard so would have to buy a slightly small one from
JL - or just the standard Ikea one ( only simple foam comes in the size to fit this).

Also wondering what peoples experience of selling old nursery furniture has been.

We had one as a spare bed and it was fab, due to a room reshuffle it went to a new home, the drawers were a very useful feature. I didn't find it too narrow and am on the larger side.
