The midnight trick has stopped working for me, is there a new method anyone is aware of? Thanks

I checked the Tesco app at 7 this morning and there were loads of slots, but all gone by 8. Morrisons have by far the best availability round here.

@MaisieMolly same here, checked the app literally every hour and got a slot again for 10 May. I also think they release the slots randomly now

11am this morning there were priority slots for 13 & 14 May. They weren't there at midnight last night.

I kept checking the app today and got a slot for Saturday at about 3 this afternoon! Maybe they are releasing them at random times now? It cost £6 Confused but I was so pleased to get a slot.

I've seen multiple Tesco slots at around 6am when I've checked randomly on three occasions. One time the entire week of slots was free, it felt like I'd fallen into a time slip to a few months ago

I stayed up until midnight last night to see if I could get a Tesco slot. I had the website open on my laptop and the app open on my phone - I joined the queue on both at about 11.50. I got through on the website first, but all the slots were gone for the 27th, but then I got through on the app and could book a slot! Very weird, but I was over the moon! I've also managed to get Morrisons slots by logging on when I wake up.

I’ve had a couple of Tesco deliveries but have had no success at all with Waitrose despite looking at various times during the day.

Whenever I’ve looked - although I’ve never tried at midnight - slots are fully booked for the next three days and I can’t look any further. I even filled a basket in the hope that by some miracle of technology it would show that I was needing a delivery but it’s made no difference.

Does anyone know if there is a best time to try and secure a slot.

My sister has been a regular user of Tesco click and collect for ages. It’s convenient for her as the pickup point is very close to where to she lives. Her store has a pick up point in the car park and the bags are waiting in a delivery van ready to be pulled out for her to pick up at the designated time. As far as I know she hasn’t had any issues either in the past or more recently.

@ericanernie, oh that’s good then. Was that Tesco? I can’t see any click and collect slots on Tesco either but I think I can get one from another supermarket. I would prefer Tesco, do you know how/when they release those?

i had to do click and collect , it was very easy, they load the bags into your boot, very clear instructions.
i go another slot and am going back this friday.

Has anyone used click and collect in supermarkets? As I’m pregnant and with other health conditions (but not on the shielding list) I’ve been getting deliveries so far but after staying up til midnight the last 3 nights for Tesco and no longer being able to get a slot (which has worked fine previous) I’m not so sure I’ll be able to any more.

It might be easier to get Click and collect? How does click and collect work, do I actually have to go into the store? I have a car but don’t want to go into the shop, collection from a car park etc might be ok?

I got a slot at just after 11pm on Sunday evening. There were also random slots across this week at 7 am this morning.

Sainsbury’s is still not even allowing me to see slots- get a ‘prioritising vulnerable’ message. Have shopped with them almost every week for years.

I got a Tesco slot for Thursday I checked this morning and they had a few slots available, not been able to get my usual sainsburys delivery for around five weeks now

Sainsbury's has loads of slots. I got delivery today and I was able to book one for next Tuesday. They used to tell me I am not priority so no slots but atm I can book slots. We are loyal customers and spend £100+ every week.

I can see to Monday 25th, both delivery saver plan and vulnerable/priority customer.

Report
Spamellahamella · 28/04/2020 12:55

I can only see until Monday 18th. Those of you who can see after that have you got the Delivery Saver plan? We havent, but we do have priority slots because my husband is on the vulnerable list. We are just about managing to get fortnightly slots but it involved staying up till midnight 4 times this week

I've got a slot booked Tuesday 19 May and was looking for the week after on Sunday 24th. Nothing.
The next night I woke for a drink at 4am and checked, and had the choice of anything I wanted for the Monday 25th. Yet it won't have been a whole week, and so I'm confused about when the tesco new week starts? Perhaps it's Monday morning.

We're able to book an extra week ahead here (so up to 25th May currently) with a good choice of slots for the last day. Not sure what the criteria are to get this extra week though.

I got one at tesco at around 10.30 am on a sunday last week

I got one for Morrisons, without having to join any queue, it is for about 3 weeks' time, and I am not their biggest fan, but still, it is a home delivery!

IWasThereToo · 26/04/2020 07:38

If you actually click "change slot" you should see what's available. You don't lose your original slot until you check out the new one.

Yes that's what I did and there was nothing. I've done this many times and think it must be a glitch (I'm on the priority slot list).

Just checked and a couple have now appeared for tomorrow for me.
I only had my delivery yday and have another one booked for two weeks so its next weekend I need to book for.
The driver yday did say they were holding them for the vulnerable and then if they weren't taken they would be released for everyone else, so that's probably what's happened here.
