Was just wondering which presents were a hit with your DC - as well as which ones were not???

My DSs loved the rocket from ELC (as does DH!) and a lovely large wooden bus from Habitat. Also the wooden drawbridge from Tescos for their train track was a big success (only a fiver too!!!) Their new PJ's were just silently handed to me with a withering look - guess boys just don't get the idea of clothes as presents!

The UDraw pad for use with the XBox was a huge success with everyone for a tenner.

DS loved his VTech Switch and Go Axl the Ankylosaurus - he is 4.5yo and took it to bed Grin.

My DCs (8 and 10) got a whole year's subscription to the fab weekly comic The Phoenix. So that'll keep them busy with fun stuff to read until next Christmas!

ds(8) loves his MGP stunt scooter, its been raining most of the time since Xmas morning so he hasnt been out on it much, just strokes it lovingly.

iPod was a surprise for him and a huge hit. Skylander Giants also good.

Hit games are Jungle Speed and Q-Bitz (Thanks to whoever recommended both on here).

Only miss so far is Uno Roboto, could be an ok game, but really really quiet so we cant hear what its saying most of the time without everyone being silent and pressing the repeat button which is annoying. We already had and loved Uno and Uno Extreme, but cant see us playing Uno Roboto again.

I have a cupcake stand that i'm trying to swap if anyone is interested?

It's a pink wire one, think 3 tiers but not opened the box to check.

It's brand new, unwanted gift. Very nice just I don't bake.

Would swap for virtually anything, smellies, make up, slippers, socks etc. or anything suitable for DD 10, DS 8 or DD 7 months.

Ds1 loves his Guitar hero World Tour
Ds2 loves a game called Worms 3D which I actually had to get second hand as he really wanted it and it had been discontinued. He had asked for it last year and not got it so I would have felt terrible not getting it for him this year.
Ds3 loved his Ben 10 Omnitrix ( spelling) but seems to now have lost it!

ds (4) particularly loves his playmobil castle, his tractor keyring and his Thunderbirds rocket - the rocket and all accompanying bits come to bed with him every night and is set out carefully on his bedside table.

Surprise hit was the 2nd hand Eye-TV camera dh found in the GAME shop and interactive pre-Wii stylie game for our PS2. Total cost about a tenner, played with over Xmas ad infinitum.

Rubbish gifts gratefully received in the good spirit in which they were given but actually are totally crap:
2009 diary from pound shop, all the pages fell out when I opened it
Ugg style slippers which don't stay on my feet are COOOOLLLD
annual candle from MIL with weird swirls on which smells AWFUL, I might use it if the cat poos in the shower tray again to mask the smell but otherwise...

the dolls house has been popular with both dcs and they have been fightingover the electronic Ben 10 watch that Santa 'almost' forgot. dd has already exhausted me with her new mog books, she has now got all of them so i can read Mog stories every night of the week.

dh is inordinately pleased with his guitar hero World Tour and I got my favourite kind of duck egg blue Tiffany bag with a silver bracelet which was wonderful for being frivolous, just for me and entirely unexpected
