I love to take pics of our elf and see what everyone else has done for inspiration....possibly our last year as the kids are getting older 😥He's been coming for 8 years now, and is a huge part of the build up to Christmas. It's been a real love/hate relationship with the little bastard!

It's funny to revisit some now as the dc are older, as their reactions are different.

I made the Snowman out of toilet paper, which must have been one of the first I ever did....

The younger two burst into my room this morning shrieking that "Jack" was going to be in so much trouble! I'd forgotten that I'd had to repeatedly warn them about stuffing too much loo role down the loo! They just saw him as being naughty and wasting toilet roll rather than cute! Great reaction from them though!

Ahh thank you! Don't be deceived though, he's still a PITA 😆 But I'm not keen on the classic elves though...their faces would give me nightmares. Had to be a cute and cuddly one. I think we're on year 10 now...

I used to do 3 elves for a service user. Writing on bathroom mirror with toothpaste. Drew minions on a banana. Wrapped one in loo roll like a mummy. It was good having 3 as they could be evil to each other 😂
Snow angels in flour. Sellotaped one to the wall. Well, the other elves did that. They were wicked. They used to do stuff with cereal too.
I felt sorry for her when some staff stayed. They'd not bother.

Following along for inspo!

So far ours arrived and left various clues as to where she was hiding - each clue took DC to a place where treats were hidden (advent calendars, Christmas clothing etc) last clue told them where she was hiding.

Then she made a mess baking. Great because next day she was on clean up duty with a barbie mop and brush. Then she disappeared to log DCs letters at the North Pole so that bought a day. Tonight she's hanging out with a cuddly toy Santa on our shelf.

I'm limited to what I do youngest DCs/Pets will touch the damn elf so all needs to be out of reach as eldest DC would lose their damn mind if elf got touched. Lol.

How many days left? 😂

Where are the sodding elves?

I've looked in the cupboard under the stairs ( usual place I've kept them ) and the loft. My DD is upset that they haven't arrived yet. How can I find them?.

Buy new ones?! I would personally. They’re in most supermarkets. I would get elf to write a letter saying they’re sorry they’re late, blame it on the postal strikes, as obviously Santa posts them! Their suitcases or something little for DD could also turn up a day or two after to further evidence the postal delays.

But that’s just me 🤷🏻‍♀️

Ours has been terrorising the dog, up to no good with the fairy from the tree (😉), and hanging upside down in the tree. The bought baby DD some reindeer rattle socks on the 1st.

I’ve just bought our first elf. Youngest DC is, erm, 11 years old. So doubt it’ll be quite as magical as the littlies! But I figured no one is too old to enjoy some silly elf pranks.
