Stocking ideas for DPs / DHs

I couldn’t see a thread on this, so thought I’d start one! DH and I do a stocking for each other and I’m totally out of ideas for him this year.

Stocking gifts from previous years that have gone down well include:
Wireless earphones
Wallet buddy
Meat thermometer
Glasses repair kit
Hand cream
Nose hair trimmer
Luggage scale
Photo magnets
Smart plugs / light bulbs
And always a nice pair of socks!

So far this year, I’ve got...chutney. Grin

What have you bought that’s stocking sized that’s gone down well for DPs / DHs in the past?

Previous Years - mostly edible
Carapace buttons
Chocolate orange
Marzipan/chocolate bar
Pistachios
Nice coffee
New phone cover

God I’d hate to be a man on Christmas Day 😬

miniature Lego set or wooden puzzles normally go down well

DPs stocking will include a mug with his initial on it, some teaspoons in the shape of guitars, chocolate coins, a clementine, a silly animal face mask (I bought them for his nieces but they were on 3 for 2 so he can have the zebra one) and an apple slicer because he sits on the couch slicing bits off an apple with a knife and it drives me mad Grin

Mine has a book, a lottery scratchcard, a lego mini figure and a pot of truffles in oil for cooking (from waitrose I think)

@Nowisthemonthofmaying it’s from Crafty Giraffe: thecraftygiraffe.co.uk/search.php?search_query=Cat&section=product

I got 2 for £7.50 on a deal, I think, so might be worth keeping an eye out on Friday in case they have any special discounts or deals!

@LikeSilentRaindrops where did you get the personalised bauble? Would love one of the cat for my dh!

Have added to my stash with a couple of the Penguin mini classics books, a personalised bauble of the dog (DH’s favourite member of the family by far), some refillable coffee pods for his Nespresso machine and a wireless charger for his bedside.

I might...be nearly done!

Just popped back on to say I bought a blank key from DH favourite rugby teams website. He only has a very tatty back door key at the moment.
Went to Timpson’s to get it cut and the do it FREE! I had no idea. He asked for a £2 donation to the charity tin which I happily paid.
Bargain present and useful.

OMG, this company is entirely devoted to gonad lotions! This has been an education, I had no idea this was even a thing. Praise be to Mumsnet!

asda has a lovely 4 pack of 5cl rum bottles for £12. Nice slender box that would just about fit the upright part of a stocking

similar selections available of you have whiskey, vodka or gin drinkers to buy for, google asda spirits gift sets

Thanks for the ideas.
From here, I’ve bought carpenters pencil, telescopic torch and contour gauge.
I can add slinky & GCHQ puzzle book.
In the past, these presents have gone down well: magnetic wrist strap, bike hut backpack light & chain bike tool.

anibendod 😁I think it’s more about keeping them fresh as they spend slot of time being squashed up. Quite a lot of the wrinkle would appear to be like wrinkled skin in a bath ( sweat) DH’s certainly felt a bit better. Sorry TMI.

I live and hate this thread. I’ve spent £15 on bloody Brussels sprout sauce now.. The madness has begun.

@Thewinterofdiscontent

Mine quite like ball moisture lotion for his bollock. Found some in TK Max so he’s getting that. Probably good for cyclists?
He’s also getting a funky door key with his teams insignia on.
Team socks
Chocolates. I spent time and money on hotel chocolate last year only to find out he’s put off by “fancy” flavours. So just a slab of something locally made probably.

Great gift last year was that magnetic wristband that screws and nails stick onto.

given how wrinkly your average pair of balls are, I reckon the moisturiser is probably a bit of a lost cause Grin

Fab ideas over here!
I’m also adding for my boyfriend the following:

And other bits I’ve seen already mentioned!!

My DH loves vibrant leather (meant to smell like Creed Aventus), I was thinking of getting the Discovery set.

Loved idea of brussel sprout ketchup. Thanks.
I spotted you can get still directly from makers
www.sauceshop.co/products/brussels-sprout-ketchup?_pos=1&_sid=bd4ddf0a1&_ss=r
If you sign up for newsletter, you get 10% off. Free delivery of over £40.
I have just ordered six bottles as going to be little extra for various people now. Plus now getting various of their other sets for little gifts for other people, and bottles of spiced cranberry ketchup to go with sprout ketchup, so very very productive!

The only ideas I have so far this year :

Journal 29 puzzle book
Face mask
Churros mix

Previous hits:
Anti fog glasses wipes
Elastic lazy laces for running
One year just all niche relishes/sauces
Travel cup
Chocolate coffee beans

To echo a pp the contour gauge is super cool for DIY guys, it takes the shape of the thing you want to cut around (pic attached)

Another idea is a magnetic phone mount for in the car (other pic)

We also have a nice garlic press that you crush the whole clove in without taking skin off
