We have travelled back to our home town for the past few years. This year we are staying at home yay!
I plan on sitting back and letting the children enjoy their toys, not taking too bundle then into the car and visit a million different remains.
A few years ago before children dh and I went to the local shop on boxing day. Wrapped up warm and drank hot chocolate while waking around. It was lovely.

Well, not so Zombie as it relates to the Christmas season and it's only just the past year one.

Our Boxing Day is spent celebrating DD's birthday. This year, we WILL be at home in our own house, so a relaxed start, nice breakfast, finish icing a cake. Go for a decent walk. Tidy up from Christmas Day and set up for having an open house type afternoon for neighbours and family who live near (some of my DAunts etc) or who will travel (2.5 hours - most won't!), of mulled wine, M&S nibbles and birthday cake comes out late in the afternoon.

Tis a gentle day and nice for that.

No sales for us!

Ffs the OP says what are you doing tomorrow (Boxing Day) was that a big clue that it was an old thread. Unless I've missed something and BD is now July 25

We were at my mom and dad's yesterday with my brother, they are all coming to ours today.

I'm doing a buffet of turkey, gammon, mini sausages, jacket skins, garlic and herb potatoes and the usual coleslaw, pickles etc.

Just waiting on them arriving now.

It's such a beautiful sunny day today Xmas Smile

DH will bake a delicious ham, and make goose-fat roasties. I will get the house all tidy and sparkling again. We'll take the dog for a nice walk, and then laze about playing board games and watching films. We will see NOBODY Xmas Grin

Lardy day here too Xmas Smile

Big breakfast (involving eggs, vegetarian sauasges, vegetarian bacon, toast, beans) DH and DD will eat the works, DS will eat nothing as per, not sure what I;m having.

For dinner I'm doing pizza , I'll mix up the dough and let it prove for later. (DS will then eat his own bodyweight in pizza )

I am going to try and find homes for all the assorted crap we have acquired today (my mum goes overboard with DC presents). Also now that my wardrobe is no longer santa's present stash I am going to empty it, organise and declutter it and make it a treat to look upon. Grin
