I bought stollen from Aldi last week, £1.99! They had stollen bites and the gingerbread houses too. Didn't buy one but very tempted Smile

We bought the Aldi house last year, it looked great but tasted awful. In previous years I had bought kits from here, they have lovely glazed windows and taste great www.thegbhouse.co.uk/ you get to assemble them and decorate them, ours didn't look anything like pictures now website when decorated

My Aldi has Black Forest Cherries Stollen. It's lovely, already eaten half of it. I will go tomorrow to see if they have the gingerbread house! I just spend £13 at a garden centre for one.

kiriwawa can you tell me more about the Lidl one? (Is it big/pretty design/taste any good?) Last year I got DS1 the one from ikea which was very good and he loved decorating it...and eating it Smile.

I bought the IKEA gingerbread house last weekend. I haven't opened it yet, I am planning on making it for my ds birthday in December instead of a cake.

My kids enjoyed making ours!! The dog enjoyed eating it too!! Thought the dog might be fooled that it was a house but no, she stole it off the side. The biscuits to decorate the roof tasted nice though..did get to eat those though!!

I don't know how they taste. DD had such fun building it that she kept it up till March! No-one wanted to eat it by then. It was well worth the £5 as it gave around 3 hours of fantastic fun. My DD loved it.

The gingerbread houses are lovey. We made one last year. They have to be built-they come in a flat pack style, but complete with decorations and little sugar figures- great fun!

They had the cheap Santa's, but not the yummy grown up ones.

They are already decorated - not half as much fun! Smile

Ours had the gluhwein and choc santas/reindeer in, but no stollen etc when I popped in on Friday!

My Aldi doesn't have much in yet No stollen, lebkuchen, those nice St Nicholas biscuits, DIY gingerbread houses or Moser Roth Santas.

They're premade in Aldi aren't they? DS likes 'decorating' the ones you make yourself from Lidl :(

They had the same ones last year and a couple of weeks before Christmas they reduced them by £1 ish and they might have even gone down a bit more in the couple of days before.

Does anyone's Aldi have stollen in yet? Mine doesn't and I'm getting very impatient - they have Xmas choc and meats in but no stollen.
