I’m doing things a little differently this time - if lost then see message 2 on the first page for the codes/info collated from previous threads (to save slow loading for those using phones).

Hope this works a bit better and please give me feedback Grin Thanks

we’ll need to start renting storage facilities to hide all this stuff the rate we’re going

Just had my hello kitty oven glove through - speedy service from Internet gift store and also nice quality. It came with a 20% off code '20SITE' which could be used alongside the 50p off to get a bargain, plus still free delivery this month. Hope those helps.

Lots of bits in the sale section, saw lots of bits which would be nice keepsake gifts for babies, also have ha lie candles and these Star Wars onsies would be about 24 quid with the 20% off.

Update from Hearst Magazines.

Here's what I said to them...

"I've already cancelled my direct debit. When I took out the subscriptions
the terms and conditions said that you could cancel at any time during the trial period. There was no mention of returning any free gift. I've also checked my original email and it doesn't say anything about subscriptions having to run for 12 months or returning the gift. When I took it out I signed up for 3 months and there was no information explaining that this wouldn't be possible.

Many thanks"

To which they've replied...

"Thank you for your recent email.

I can confirm that all of our terms and conditions are listed on our website and in our magazines.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any further queries.

Kind regards"

I mean what the hell am I supposed to do with that?

Any suggestions on what I could reply with would be appreciated.

(Those not up to speed, Hearst magazines have asked me to return the Oasis watch and the Rhianna perfume because I've cancelled the subscription after the first payment).

Coffee I wouldn't even communicate with them. A claim in a small claims court would cost them £50 which is less than the claim is worth. They haven't got a leg to stand on. Especially as you seem to be the only one they've asked to return it!

I'd reply saying you have reviewed the terms and conditions and see that there is no requirement to send the item back, so can they please confirm that is the case.

Errrr. Confused I was just about to cancel my Rihanna perfume mag direct debit. I've used it all already (pretty much)!

Can't you just cancel it at your bank and then send them a letter stating - not asking - that you've cancelled, wish for no further copies to be sent to you, and they have no permission to take any further payments from you?

I'm trying to find their terms and conditions just now. What a joke if they want us to send it back!

But spotty teacakes could it not effect her credit rating?

I wouldn't have thought so....they're not still trying to get a monthly payment they're just trying to get the free gift back. They haven't said in that email 'you have to send it back as stated here [quote t&cs]' they've just left it in the hope that she (sorry for saying she I can't remember your name) will cave/start worrying and send it back

Thanks Reastie

I've now bought the Duplo Number train x 2 and the £1.75 dinosaur and princess books from Amazon for friends children, the Delia Smith Cake book for sil, and the Orchard Toys Shopping List game.

I've seen in Tesco the Orchard Games are selling for £4 or £4.50 instead of £7.50 at Amazon.

I've only got 4 people left to buy for now! DBro wants a kitchen knife set, DM wants some pj's and a dressing gown, DS will be getting a scooter and DH is near impossible to shop for!

Thanks guys.

Pinocchio - that's what I did. Cancelled my direct debits, emailed to tell them I had done so and was cancelling my subscriptions then got a reply saying it was a minimum of 12 months and I had to return any free gifts if I cancelled prior to this.

I'm going to email them one more time with a screen shot of their own T&C's and see if it gets me anywhere.
