So what do I need to not miss this holiday season? I think I enjoy this moment with my tv guide more than actually watching the stuff! Come join me,
So far I have:
Call the midwife
The Dambusters
Young Victoria
Gremlins
Babe

What are your 'must not miss' Xmas watches???

I will NOT be watching Dr Who, I've seen the trailers and those scary snowmen freak me right out. Hello, they've got teeth, what's that about?

yy to Room on the Broom, can't wait Smile

Stacysmom is the music any good? As a music teacher I have spent the last couple of years listening to beautiful children playing songs from the snowmand & rescuing me from the horror of yet another rendition of Jingle Bells!!!!

We always buy the Radio Times at Christmas but end up watching very little that we don't normally watch, which is the Disney channels and Strictly for the DCs, Corrie for me and Dr Who for DH. Will definitely be watching Downton. Never seem to get time to watch films too much time on MN

Tried to get the DCs to watch the Gruffalo last year and got zero interest even though they loved the book, so I won't be bothering with Room on the Broom (again, they loved the book but we went to see it at the theatre and got zero interest, including from me, right waste of money that was).

I was lucky enough to see the new Snowman and the Snowdog at the cinema a couple of weeks ago. It's just wonderful. Disclaimer: may require hankies.

LittleAbruzzen - if you have an iPhone, there is a Sky plus app which you can link in to your Sky account and record from that.

Sorry have found it now, seems to be on on different channels, and different times in different regions. Can't tell if it's the same as last year though.

Is the horrible histories the one from last year? because they did a christmas episode just on songs.

DoubleMum · 19/12/2012 07:27

Ooh I didn't know there was going to be another Royle family for Christmas -

will definitely be watching that rather than the Queen's speech Xmas Grin

(actually I probably will have to see what Queenie has to say at some point - hopefully a nice highlights of the year, or highlights of her 60 year reign combo ?)

Horrible histories one to look out for here too - DD(13) and DS(11) know all the words to their songs and hence can tell anyone the order of the Kings and Queens of England. I'm very impressed !

< hums .... William, William, Henry, Stephen, Henry, Richard, John .... >
