Thanks again MrsW for organising this, I had a really good time. Looking forward to joining you all for book club in February. A new year meet up would be good too.

Home fine! Thanks for a lovely night everyone especially MrsW. I've put that book recommendation on the book thread. (just in case anyone thinks who is this random bird making random book recommendations!)

Where have you been? I've been back for ages, messing with the cat (not a euphemism). Did you pop to the kebab van on your way? Night night.

Thanks for the night: it was ace and so nice to meet you all. I dropped MrsWembley off from the taxi and saw her staggering away into the distance. I want to know if she is home ok. Ok Mrs W? still living the dream I hope. Have a couple of ibuprofen and a big glass of water, you'll be fine. A big thank you for organising tonight.

Exexpat: another meeting around New Year would be good. I am definitely up for it.

Sorry I missed this. Pm me next time? I still feel the need for a night out. (Considering book club but already in one and may struggle to read that much!)

Good to see everyone and meet lots of new people this evening, and commiserations to all those of you stuck at home with vomity/feverish small people. Maybe we should do another Bristol evening get-together at a less Gerry time of year?

In the meantime, for those who expressed an interest, this is the book group thread. Suggestions welcome for venues for the Jan 14th meeting (somewhere south of the river? Tobacco Factory has been mentioned as a possibility) and for a book for February.

Thanks for organising Mrs W. A splendid do. If only I were not so old I would have stayed much longer. But I think I ate far too many of the things on sticks and the pointed accusatory stares were becoming too much... I hope everyone had a similarly lovely time and got home ok.

Just got velcro insomniac toddler with temp of 102 to doze off for a bit and have snuck out to message you. Looks like my night out is banjaxed Sad

..... and I'd found something dressy to wear and evereeeything [sulk emoticon]

Hope you have an amazing evening and yes, a New Year's night would be brilliant.

ps All you folks who HAVE managed to get out tonight - don't forgot to spill the beans and 'share' the gossip online afterwards with the rest of us!

(MrsW - let me know how you'd like the deposit sent on to you, I'm presuming it's better sooner rather than later. If there's no rush then I can always bring it to book club.)

Sorry, I'm out. Going to be taking myself off to the walk in doctors instead when I am not in too much pain to stand up, suspected PID (AGAIN. I don't even do bumsex so it's really unfair). Have fun everyone, I hope to meet some of you in the future.

I did think that was a bit of a harsh smiley to have put! As I said a new year meet up for those who can't do tonight would be fab? I really want to come but I just can't now. Have a fabulous time and enjoy the Bear and Wine
