Which bag should I ask for as my birthday present?

Can anyone recommend a changing bag for a special birthday treat. My birthday is a month before I give birth so I thought it a nice present to ask for. I am interested in a bag up to £100 that is waterproof. Thank you.

I forgot to mention that I have a newborn. So at the moment I don't really need to take an awful lot with me when I do venture out the house. I still think the pods are great though. One of my fears is when DC eventually goes onto solids, the food could have the potential to burst in the bag and knowing I have a separate pod for it, I think it will ease my worry!

I love the jujube bags - a bit pricey (I got mine on eBay) It holds tonnes (we cloth nappy and had plenty of room!)

Yes you can't go wrong with JLewis.
I had a couple of lovely Changing bags and yes they looked great all from JL.
My daughter is nearly 7 now , but I was in there a couple of months ago and found myself picking up one of the "changing bags" as it looked great for work and my daughter said "mum they are for nappys,what are you doing",now she only knew that because it was in the mother/baby section.
Great bags, but can be expensive and go over the £100 mark.

Oooh I think a luxury changing bag bag is a lovely idea for a birthday present. Such a good plan to get a top quality bag st this stage (ie pre birth!) so you can really enjoy it - it will be a constant feature of your life for 2-3 years so a big decision. I'd recommend pacapod like pp. good luck!

I have a few and my baby is 9 months now so I'm one of the few that does love them and still bother with them. Jojo Maman Bebe do a lovely brown tan satchel that's gorgeous, Pink Lining do the classic "yummy mummy" changing bags and they also do changing tote bags in floral prints I have both of those and loved them! And then more recently I got the babymel tan grace, has pockets for nappies bottles etc and change mat but still looks grown up and like your bag not babies bag. Oh and has very useful stroller straps. Head to a John Lewis they usually have a really good selection, or check out jojo maman Bebe and pink lining online

I have the Pacapod. I think it's fantastic. Keeps everything hygienically separate. I have heard before that the pods take up too much room, but I've never found it an issue. You can fit loads in it! I put clothes in one pod and nappies, wipes etc in the other. Then the main bit I put all my personal stuff in. I think it's great.

I know some people might find it a bit pricey but for the amount of time, possibly years you will be using it I think it's worth the investment.

Not a slave to designer labels at all. Changing bags seem to be expensive anyway and the bag I like is very much like a smart handbag so I thought it would be nice long term. Don't worry, I'm not getting one for my birthday now as I want get one sooner!

£100 for a changing bag? . What one your just going to put nappies, wipes and sudocrem in ? How about a gold dummy or platinum rattle. For something thats just going to go under a pram. I think it's a bit excessive. Unless you are a slave to designer labels - you know the stuff that's made in the same sweat shops as Tesco and primark! Bizarre.

I got a change bag for my birthday one year too, I didn't use a separate handbag, this was The Bag I carried every day for years, so it mattered that it was practical but also that I really liked it! Went for a skiphop in the end and loved it. I also like the cath kidson ones with all the matching bits!

Get a nice bag for yourself, not a changing bag! That would be like getting a steriliser or cot sheets for your birthday! And honestly, a changing bag comes out top of my list of 'baby things I shouldn't have bothered buying'. They are bulky, fiddly and unnecessary. I doubt I know one parent who didn't revert to using a large handbag/messenger bag within weeks.

I had a gorgeous metallic Storksak which lasted for both my DC. I loved using it. It looked very handbag like and i used the little matching pouch thing it came with to keep my keys, purse etc in so I didn't need two bags. It doubled up as handbag as well (if I had the DC with me). Treat yourself.

I have a Skip Hop bag and I love it, managed to get mine for 25£ in TK Maxx but they sell them in John Lewis too. It has just the right amount of space without being bulky and some of the designs are really nice :)

I like the pacapod but I read that the pods take up all the room in the bag. I'm now thinking of either skip hop City satchel or The storksak Bobby. Both cost more than I would spend and look like handbags so think it would be a nice treat for my birthday.

A changing bag is not a birthday present!!!! I didn't even find one necessary, and I'd have been well miffed if someone had though a piece of baby equipment was a decent birthday present for me!

If you really want one, JojoMaman have a good range. But it's nut a present for an adult!

Have you looked at Pacapod? They have some great styles under £100 - the little pod system is genius, makes packing and unpacking the bag really easy.
