Glad to hear that. I will keep my fingers crossed for you - but keep notes of who said what and when, just in case.

Oops - it's horrible when your child is bullied. I know because we had 3 years of it. The fact that a schoool has an anti-bullying policy is worth nothing if the school themselves do not apply it. The other problem can also be that not all the staff interpret the policy in the same way.

I found the Kidscape website very helpful in working out how to handle our situation and a couple of times a chat to someone on their free helpline also saved my sanity when it really got to me.

I also wrote an article about our experience and what we learned, which you can find here. There is also a link to the dairy that Kidscape recommended I keep.

So even if you feel that the meeting today went OK, do have a look at these links. They will hopefully help you to decide what next steps to take.

Good luck

we just cross posted and i have just seen your latest one.

Oh poor little fellow going through that at 5. Don't take any nonsense from the school if they say he is perfecly happy you know your son better than anyone else and your intuition will give you the truth.

well hopefully yours will be a positive outcome. All I can sugest is to keep on top of things Keep meeting with the school if your ds is still unhappy {im sure you will anyway}.

Gosh it makes me sad to hear of such tiny dots being unhappy like this, we have been there and it is dreadul. Hopefuly yours can be nipped in the bud quickly.

it's 2 pronged

1)talks about an anti-bullying education programme for pupils, including assembly, circle time, story time, visits by parents

2)talks about how incidents will be dealt with, victim listened to, incident documented, appropriate action taken
