Ivy is one of my favourite names ever! Don't like Mae at all though as there were lots of rude girls at school with Mae as middle name or hyphenated such as Lillie-Mae or Gracie-Mae. Mae is tacky. Maybe some of these will help?
Ivy Raine Ivy Sage
Ivy Poet Ivy Wren
Ivy June Ivy Fleur
Ivy Adelyn Ivy Elle
Ivy Maria Ivy Beatrice/ Beatrix
Ivy Elouen Ivy Florence

Shirmae hyphenated names are also a trend & as they’re very heavily associated with working class tend to be avoided by a lot on here. It depends how you feel about those sorts of associations for your child - but (sadly) when they apply for universities or jobs etc there will be people immediately assuming things about their background

I also didn’t realise this was an old thread - you might want to start a new one as people tend to read the original post and then comment

what do people think of Iveigh-mae lacey
Iveigh-Mae as her first and lacey as her middle

Honestly? It’s terrible, are you joking? I would think you couldn’t spell and were trying too hard to be yooooneeeque. Your child won’t thank you for a life time of having to spell their name for everyone.

However try starting your own thread as everyone will just reply to the OP from 3 years ago.

zombie thread

Ivy is nice but very very popular (I can see it becoming the next Lily). Agree that Mae as a middle name has been done to death so not that! IvyKate does sound lovely and much much more classy

I agree with everyone. Please not Mae/May it’s becone a bit downmarket which is such a shame because it’s a beautiful name. Pick any middle name but not Mae/may/rae

I don't like Mae/May. I think it is over done but then no one really mentions their middle name once they become grown.

How about:
Ivy Jessica
Ivy Jane
Ivy Elizabeth
Ivy Veronica
Ivy Fleur
Ivy Georgia
Ivy Eleanor
Ivy Ceclia

Why not move on from Ivy Mae and have Ivy June instead :-)

I can't really rationalise it, but I think Ivy May is lovely, but not Ivy Mae!
I've come across an Ivy Ann recently, which I think goes beautifully.

Ivy grace is lovely. Mae is very popular now which is fine if you don't care

Mae is terrible, especially since it seems to be stuck onto the end of anything these days. I'd stick with Ivy.

May / Mae as either a middle name or a doubled barrelled name seems to have been given to every 3rd baby over the last 8 years or so.
To me it always sounds like the start of a sentence "Ivy may come out to play later...."

I loved Mae until it became so overused, now I'm just "eugh" every time I hear it.

I must admit I do rather like Ivy Kate.....

Ivy is lovely. I love Mae too, and I think they go really well together, so I guess it depends on whether you mind how popular Mae seems to be as a middle name.
