My DH has suggested Estellita....I'll be honest-I'm not keen but thought I'd give it a fair chance. What do you think?

Just Estella or Stella is lovely. Estellita is a bit too much.

If you go on the have a son, would you call him Albertito to match?

Estellita is too, too funny, like going to Spain and asking for a thimbleful of beer, 'just an Estrella-ita for me, thanks, I'm driving'.

I prefer Estella. He could call her Estellita as a pet name. I don't think that Estellita would work on an adult.

I prefer Estellabella.

Sounds too made up to me. Estella is nice, or Estelle or Stella.

As others have said, Estellita could be a nickname.

Jiminy Cricket, no.

It sounds like a combination of Estelle, Stella and another name ending in -ita, either one would be nice. Estellita is overdoing it a bit.

I've fed your comments back to DH-he says he feels like he's been thrown in a pit with some Rottweilers! Grin he is reassessing the name though in light of the comments...I particularly like the cream for itchy private parts!

Wow - that's a lot of names in 9 letters! Maybe better to just go with one of them?

hettienne · 20/10/2013 22:47

Sounds like a pet name for Estelle/Estella.

Isn't it a cream for itchy private parts?

I just think of 'Estrellita Dónde estás' the Spanish version of Twinkle Twinkle little star.

scarlettsmummy2 · 20/10/2013 22:33

It sounds like the name of a contraceptive pill.

casacastille · 20/10/2013 22:28

Me neither. Fluffy and OTT.

Then I don't much like any names ending in -elle or -ella.

Smartiepants79 · 20/10/2013 22:21

Nope, made up and a bit froo-froo.

Misfitless · 20/10/2013 22:17

I don't like it at all, sorry.

How about Stella?

Estelle is lovely. Estellita sounds made-up and horrible. Sorry.

It sounds like 3 names combined to make up a new name. Did he read/hear it somewhere or has he made it up?!
