To Fancy Charlie Brooker and hope he's on Mumsnet?

Was watching Newswipe on Iplayer and the man makes me laugh out loud and seems not to take himself too seriously - a devastating combination IMO.

Yes I know he's married but you know, Charlie, if you ever decide that its not working out, y'know, give me a call sometime...

He has made me laugh until my abs hurt....and I work out....that's how much of a genius the guy is.
Wouldn't do him, though.

He's still single apparently, fact fans. Was talking to a colleague the other day and one of her friends works with him. I jokingly asked if I could have a date set up ;) I wonder what he thinks of all of this female adoration?

I have the biggest crush on Mr Brooker

I fear that my adoration would not be returned as I am most certainly not up to his 'supermodel looks' standard

He should be a closet MN'er - I think he'd come out with some cracking AIBU topics...

Ladies, you are right about funny men = sexy - my Dad is not exactly a looker, but he has always had ladies flocking round him as he is a really witty guy (luckily he only has eyes for my mum).

All Brooker's books are hilarious (even if most of them are his old Guardian and Guide columns). I had an asthma attack through laughing so much at 'Dawn of The Dumb' and I grew out of my asthma years ago!

In yet another claims to fame, I went out with Robert Webb's cousin when I was @21. I did meet him, but can't remember much about him. He looks v. much like the ex though, so seeing him on telly is weird (especially his Flashdance routine!)

You lot are wierd! Can you imagine his comments over cornflakes if you were looking a bit rough or if your repartee was less than sparkling. Biting humour is great, but not directed at you over breakfast!

oh god i am also secretly in love with charlie brooker....ive just taped and watched back to back charlie brookers newswipe.....

i am in love.

just dont tell DH.....

am an avid fan of screenwipe and i think its the only thing ive ever LOL at....when he was on about streetdoctor and did the hammer toe thing i nearly peed myself laughing.

also loved dead set.

im a fan. can you tell?
