You see, it's all about the choices one makes in life. If one wishes a certain lifestyle (M and S meals for instance) then one must make certain choices to enable that lifestyle.

Alternatively, of course, one could simply marry someone who provides the lifestyle of ones choice, and then one could post in a rather smug manner on MN that life is simply a matter of the choices one makes.

Want to hear a funny story?

When we first moved here we were put up in an apartment in Chelsea (very nice indeed). So off I toddle in my new city, brimming with confidence to the "supermarket".

Down on the high street, I come across M&S and think that this is what British supermarkets ARE. I was so stressed out, I remember crying to DH that we were not going to be able to afford to live here, and that there was no fruit or veg or anything!

Luckily, the doorman at the apartment complex noticed me coming back with M&S bags over and over and asked me if I had had a look at the Waitrose a bit further down.
