decides she wants to halt the traffic at regular intervals and let across perfectly capable adults with NO CHILDREN WHATSOEVER with them, who I imagine are quite familiar with road safety by now...Grr. Am I being unreasonable then? Is it just me?

So you have to stop to let people cross the road. And that's annoying because...?

The only way to redeem yourself is to claim that you didn't need the Lollipop Lady to stop the traffic as you would have stopped anyway because right-thinking car drivers such as your good self know that pedestrians should always take precedence over cars.

I'm sure that's what you were going to say anyway

YABU.

Let's analyse it.
Your car stops to let people cross.
The cars in front of you move on ahead. Then you start moving and catch up with the other cars.

What's the problem?

VacheFolle · 19/03/2008 13:39

See it was never about people crossing , am not anti people crossing the road! Just simply that most healthy adults can do it all on their own quite easily. I honestly don't feel the need for assistance to cross the road but that's just my opinion and I'm obviously going to get a Heather Mills style stoning for it (sigh)

I once reported a lollipop lady for selling individual fags to the primary school age kids she was helping to cross the road.

margoandjerry · 19/03/2008 13:47

Actually I have more time for Heather Mills than for people who moan about having to stop for 2 seconds to let someone cross

VacheFolle · 19/03/2008 13:51

Vache Folle Mills..Hmm does that mean I'm coming in to some money?

Yes but you also have to wear that comedy patchwork trouser suit she was wearing yesterday..

VacheFolle · 19/03/2008 13:56

for that money I would , although not sure about shagging Macca

At least if you were HM - you would never be stopped by the local lollipop lady - as your chauffeur and nanny would be taking her to school - and it would be a private school which wouldn't have such a thing as a lollipop lady as none of the kids would walk to school anyway

VacheFolle · 19/03/2008 14:10

Very true, but let's remember Captain that the poor child has to fly(whispers) B-class
(shudder)
