The story of her hurting herself is NOT FUNNY, (especially that she was stranded, that must have been terrifying) but the way it it written is comical.

Anyway I hope she makes a full recovery but her arm sounds very badly injured.

My mil used to be a career .On visiting an old bedridden lady discovered that she had somehow fallen out of bed , and somehow got her head stuck underneath. Thing is it was a divan so very close to the floor. No one every did figure out how she got her head under there.

I was prepared to vote YABU until I read it properly. It’s the way it’s written, yes it’s funny (although horrific for the poor lady). It’s the details that give the comedy not the lady’s pain so YANBU definitely. Seagull story even funnier, and fox one killed me off (the image of fox stamping his feet to move pest controllers car along) again it’s the way it’s written and the detail. Classic.

I started out thinking this sounds really nasty.
Then I got to the 92 year old deaf neighbour, re-runs of BBC news making her go to the toilet, details of the husband swearing and the fact that the main selling feature for the bed was not because it was comfortable, but that it was good for storing Christmas decorations 😂
