This has to be the most bizarre news story ever. I have cried laughing at some many parts of it. Nonsensical and just brilliant. AIBU to find it so funny?

Not funny. I see I’m in the (fractionally) smaller voting section again 😒

The story of her hurting herself is NOT FUNNY, (especially that she was stranded, that must have been terrifying) but the way it it written is comical.

Anyway I hope she makes a full recovery but her arm sounds very badly injured.

I thought it was sad at first, but the more times I read it the more of the bizarre details I noticed, and now I can't stop laughing at it - the on purpose vomiting to get a drink, the Christmas decorations storage issue, the BBC news on repeat Grin

Not even a teeny bit funny, poor woman has a horrendous injury which is going to cause months of pain and may never recover. If you think that’s funny you’re just weird.

My mil used to be a career .On visiting an old bedridden lady discovered that she had somehow fallen out of bed , and somehow got her head stuck underneath. Thing is it was a divan so very close to the floor. No one every did figure out how she got her head under there. Grin

It sounds a horrible experience but it is very funny the way it is written.

Pissed myself laughing... It is not exactly the film 127 Hours is it...

Where she says she kept making herself sick for moisture in her mouth to stay alive hahaha

The Drama Queen will be after compo, home help and PIP next!

I was prepared to vote YABU until I read it properly. It’s the way it’s written, yes it’s funny (although horrific for the poor lady). It’s the details that give the comedy not the lady’s pain so YANBU definitely. Seagull story even funnier, and fox one killed me off (the image of fox stamping his feet to move pest controllers car along) again it’s the way it’s written and the detail. Classic.

The fox one is sad, they put the fox down when they caught it 😪

Drama queen? Have you actually read what happened to her arm and what state it's in? It's not a ducking bruise and a small scratch.

Hilarious. It sounds like a 1st of April joke....

It's horrible what happened to her.
But she clearly has an amazing sense of humour and the comment were precious, the BBC news and the Christmas decorations.
Hope she recovers soon.

I started out thinking this sounds really nasty.
Then I got to the 92 year old deaf neighbour, re-runs of BBC news making her go to the toilet, details of the husband swearing and the fact that the main selling feature for the bed was not because it was comfortable, but that it was good for storing Christmas decorations 😂

Ah God. I was reading that thinking this is not funny at all, poor woman, badly injured and frightened etc, but then this bit: 'I was sitting there thinking "Oh God not the sixth time I've heard this. I had no choice but to go to the toilet there and then."'

maddening, I’ve seen that one before, it’s so funny. I love how each paragraph brings a longer string of similar-sounding nonsense words. Just brilliant. 😆
