  1. People who apply nail polish on top of chipped polish are generally false/pretentious

  1. People who go out of their way to keep their downstairs neat but couldn't care about upstairs, are the "keeping up appearances" types

I know I might be wrong, but I don't care and if you don't care join in with your opinions

I paint over my chipped nail polish instead of removing it.. and then when it gets really thick I peel it all off Grin But it's pure laziness rather than anything else!

  • ppl who are too PC to admit that Islam is not good to women, or that some ppl have higher IQ or are better looking, or that being overweight is not healthy nor beautiful, etc

I think overweight women can be beautiful Hmm. It's never healthy though, obviously.

Meetme I suspect she isn't even enjoying being so particular. Which rather spoils the fun.

How strange cara. My 300 year old, listed building does. I suspect it started life as a coach house. Became a garage somewhere along the line and now is mostly used by the gardener for gardening type things. Potting and compost and things like that.

Dear, dear, Cara. Doesn't it have a coach house?

Haven't seen that film, by the way. Not my thing. I prefer "weightier" films.

"@Cara I really really hope you typed that channelling Meryl Street in "The Devil Wears Prada" with a little, sneery curl of the lip, a slight flaring of the nostrils and an almost imperceptible roll of the eyes."

Actually no I did not. (Obviously.) What I wrote is a fact.

Thank you could not have put it better myself.

Posters who say, "I've just told my DH and he says.." (because a man's
view is all that's required 🙄 )

No garage at all where I live! The property is over 300 years old, and obviously listed, so modern monstrosities are not allowed!

Mine are:

Personalised plates - naff and considerably richer than yow types who aren't.
People who judge people who don't have books on display downstairs - faux intellectual snobbery.
People with dogs who don't look after them properly and let them bark for hours.
People who park over drives.
People who brag and showoff about their kids.
People begging for frer items on Facebook with fake sob stories. Go to the shops like everyone else!
People who talk about events that happened in the past in the present tense (particularly newsreaders)
People who consistently ignore the rules of grammar.

Don't get the nail polish thing though.

Shit, then what are they thinking about my triple-garage?

Report
headinhands · 21/12/2016 14:10

People who call things chavy. Someone once told be they thought a mutual friend's new house was chavy because it had a double garage.

Tribe is so try hard and 'so try hard' isn't? Actual LOL - yeah I know a gazillion mners are now judging me for that but I honestly did.

The irony in some of this is delicious. I just get a mental image of those who are so sniffy about what they perceive as naff, chavvy, common, dated, tasteless, feverishly, constantly and assiduously checking themselves, their homes, their children and their language to make sure no element of 'non-u' sullies their pristine lifestyle. They are carefully tailored models of impeccable style and classic, understated elegance as dictated by Nancy Mitford, Vogue, The Lady and Ideal Home. Must be exhausting.

Anyone who looks down on modern houses, pop culture, social media and internet thinks they are cultured and I judge them

OP- I think the ppl who do the polish over chipped nails and the downstairs/upstairs thing are just lazy.

Also, I judge:

  • antivax crazies, climate change deniers, conspiracy theorists, holocaust deniers
  • "orthodox" of any kind
  • ppl who are too PC to admit that Islam is not good to women, or that some ppl have higher IQ or are better looking, or that being overweight is not healthy nor beautiful, etc.
