i don't care if its tacky, for the few moments someone has to hear it it, i couldn't care less!

but then i live in quite a rural area and the only people who get blasted are the mums on the school run with me, lol.

I went to see Taylor Swift with my eldest dd last year. I actually got weepy eyed when she did shake it off. Pmpl.

Actually I agree about not blasting it out. In cities/slow-moving traffic, I don't have it on really loud at all, so as not to bother people and also because you need to be able to hear to drive safely. You turn it up a bit louder on the open road because having the windows open is noisy.

So I'm not blasting anyone, they may be able to hear it at the lights if I have the window open, but it won't deafen them.

It may well be "Shake it off" though so sorry to anyone who's had their taste insulted.

For country roads it has to be these two -

Driving a little faster (not that fast with the windows open Grin) it would have to be

I don't turn it down at traffic lights or town - unless I'm listening to the radio and something tragic like 1D comes on!

I think most posters are agreed on turning down the music in built up areas or at traffic lights and junctions. I'd be mortified to be caught out Shaking it off to Taylor Swift!

Unless you are in a traffic jam pedestrians aren't going to have to put up with it for long are they.

No but enough time to think you are a wanker.

I wouldn't in town either.

Only on the open road, not in traffic in town. Otherwise you are just being a bit selfish.

Thank god for air con so I can keep my windows closed while I drive and block most of the crap music from other cars out.

BTW the album of summer driving is actually Forever Changes by the 60s rock band Love. Or anything by the Beach Boys.

Omar's There's Nothing Like This is just perfect. I've just put a new stereo in my mx5 and with the top down on a country road in the sunshine it's just the best way to spend some chill time Smile

Yes, yes. Except I don't have the window down. I do however, have the music turned right up. I have specific music for specific journeys.

Going to see DP, 1 1/2 hours, North Wales Coastal Drive.... It has to be Prince or Amon Amarth.

Going to Home Town...40 mins of Foy Vance.

Out and about and it's Kate Bush or Peter Gabriel.

Anywhere with DCs and it's Amon Amarth, Black Label Society or Slayer.

Wow, such lack of consideration for others. Be kind. Don't blast music anywhere. Turn it right off if anyone can hear it outside the car. People saying Tough Titties need an asbo slapped on them for disturbing the peace of others. Not all of us love your loud awful music polluting our ears.
