We ordered way too much last night and stupidly, I left it all out from 8 pm until I got up about 8 am. I'm sure the noodles are fine but the chicken....? My head says I'd BU to eat it but my heart stomach says IT'S FINE!

It's nothing to do with "delicate stomachs". You've been lucky, that's all, same as if you don't put a seatbelt on before you drive your car, you won't always get into an accident. Doesn't mean you shouldn't take sensible precautions though - food poisoning is no joke.

I would make sure it is thoroughly microwaved and eat it, but am in Scotland and at the moment the house temp overnight is pretty cool anyway.

I have a fairly delicate something but the chinese was fine. I'm still alive, so far....

I wouldn't eat any meat left out of a fridge overnight. Chinese or otherwise.

Very spicy food - curry, chilli, provides its own preservative, but have heard that rice can be susceptible to salmonella.

I have eaten out of date food, but give it a sniff first, but always been in the fridge.

Some people do have cast iron stomachs and some are delicate.

Chinese is always good for another couple of days, maybe I have a strong stomach... Domino's is always better the morning after!

Urgh, don't risk it.

MrsSpagBol I have broken all the rules here and never had food poisoning, I think some people have delicate stomachs and some don't.

The word there is 'can', so many things can cause this and that, I tend to ignore it and eat it

Lamaga it's nothing to do with rice not being a saple; it's because the Bacillus bacteria on rice cant be destroyed by heat.

I would eat it.

Anything fast food wise lurking about in the house the morning after ,my fella burns almost black in the frying pan and eats ,always has done ,he explains the fierce heat will kill any germs and if not his digestive juices will finish the germs/bugs? off, works for him, thou i am not suggesting you do same!

I don't understand the concept of "leftover" Chinese? What is this phenomenon you speak of? I've heard people talking about leftover wine as well but I think they've made it up.

I would, just had leftover curry from last night.
I am pretty sure it's ok if you microwave the hell out of it.

Rice is usually fine too, I think lots of people are scared because it's a not a staple food in the UK.

I would eat it - but not the rice.

Heat up so it is piping hot.

But do bin the rice - or any rice dish - rice can grow spores which can't then be destroyed by cooking - and will give you the poorlies. Grin

enjoy.

I do this all the time (not with chinese simply because we dont eat out much, but have done in the past) and I have a stomach of steel.

Do it!

Kitchen is generally pretty cold. I ate the noodles and a bit of the chicken. It tasted good and hopefully I'll live to tell the tale.

I would eat it. How warm do you think your kitchen was overnight?

Report
AmberLeaf · 21/04/2013 12:04

I would.

Takes a lot to upset my cast iron stomach!

Nuke it in the microwave.
