To Wonder Why Heather Mills has spoken out

This phone hacking scandal just goes on and on. Heather Mills who in the divorce hearing is recorded as hacking Paul McCartney's phone and leaking information to the media, has accused a Mirror Reporter of hacking her phone.

It is highly likely it happened as Piers Morgan wrote about hearing a tape of the conversation that was hacked.

She's hacked allegedly, been hacked allegedly so why is she talking out now?

Well I'm no big fan of hers, or the smarmy Piers Morgan, but if she nails him well and good...that sounds alright to me.

He's not exactly a man of integrity is he - and how does he get these interview jobs, like he's some kindly Michael Parkinson/ Terry Wogan type? Hmm

tricky I agree with you Piers heard the hacked tapes and wrote about it, which shows how rife it was. The reason for my post was that Mills given she has done the same thing, why has she come forward?

Viva Wow!! Really? Now that just confirms what I was thinking, why is she pointing the finger when she's done the same thing? It seems to me that she was always going to get herself into trouble on this one.

I think Piers Morgan and Heather Mills are a match made in heaven. They really should get it on.

Heard or read somewhere today that in fact SHE hacked Sir P's phone and gave or sold the tape to the media. Given that she is madder than two overheated hounds that would make more sense to me. Not saying other publishers didn't hack, but the timing and the fact that it's Heather Mills stinks of something and it ain't a bunch of roses.

Paul McCartney is now saying he will talk to the police as he believes his phone was hacked.

But Mimoo, there is a previously published quote of Morgan pretty much confirming that he had listened to a hacked voicemail of HM.

Also from the same BBC article:
In a 2006 article in the Daily Mail, Mr Morgan referred to having heard a recorded message which Sir Paul had left for Ms Mills.

"At one stage I was played a tape of a message Paul had left for Heather on her mobile phone," he wrote.

Peirs Morgan is also an attention seeking, media tart. Why are we only bashing the woman here? What we have here is two peas in a pod having a spat, with most probably some wrongdoing on both sides.

Cogito statement in today's papers made by Piers Morgan:

Heather Mills has made unsubstantiated claims about a conversation she may or may not have had with a senior executive from a Trinity Mirror newspaper in 2001," Morgan said. "The BBC has confirmed to me that this executive was not employed by the Daily Mirror.

"I have no knowledge of any conversation any executive from other newspapers at Trinity Mirror may or may not have had with Heather Mills.

*"What I can say and have knowledge of is that Sir Paul McCartney asserted that Heather Mills illegally intercepted his telephones, and leaked confidential material to the media. This is well documented, and was stated in their divorce case.

So her actions, hack give it to the press, are just the same are the reporters hacking and publishing.

Jeez, I can't imagine anyone wanting to hack into Heather Mills's stuff. The inside of her head must look like this.

Rubbishing your ex in the newspapers hardly makes a divorce judge sympthetic to your claims. So no it wasn't motivated out of a desire to gain leverage, it was more likely motivated out of spite. However, spite and other morally dubious character flaws within the context of a marriage break-up still don't amount to criminality.

People don't like her but I don't think we should let that cloud the issue.

Needy she is not. I know she wanted half of her ex's money but what she got leaves her without financial worries.

To get attention for herself. Or to get her own back on Piers Morgan as he introduced her to Macca!!! Wink

If Mills hacked that was for monetary gain to gain leverage to access Sir. P's millions.

All of the above, plus the woman is a compulsive liar. Anyone else, sympathy. Her, gut reaction is it's a load of bollocks.

I dont think hacking phones out of curiosity matters much. It was all hacking for monetary gain by daftly alowing Murdock to run our government

Most people know their partner's mobile phone number or e-mail account. .... Really not difficult to listen into a voice-mail or read one of their texts or-emails. Not exactly honourable or normal behaviour then to leak what you find out to the press but not exactly criminal either. Different league if it's a private dick being paid to do the same thing.

Mitmoo · 04/08/2011 12:13

Cogito what's so different? In her case she was the hacker and went to the media with that information. What's the difference if the paper hacks to get a story or a bitter woman hacks and gives that to the papers?

Because she hasn't been in the papers for a while and isn't there talk of Sir P getting married again very soon?

By all means investigate Mills but one woman in the middle of a relationship breakdown trying to get back at her partner is really not the same thing as a national newspaper paying private investigators to covertly steal private information.

And why did she come forward? Because she has nothing to lose.

Agree attention and probably a few quid from murdoch and co to take the heat off NI and show the other tabloids up for what they are too.

Report
Mitmoo · 04/08/2011 12:01

We do indeed Cogito but that should include investigating Heather Mills who is alleged to have hacked Sir P's phone and leaked that to the press.

That why I am surprised she is the one to come forward.

I don't think moral high grounds or how people feel about Heather Mills are the issue. Two wrongs don't make a right etc. If the NOTW, Mirror or any other newspaper is hacking phones then we need to take them to task.

Report
Mitmoo · 04/08/2011 11:53

Cogito I could accept that had it not been reported that she hacked Sir P's phone and leaked that to the press. Given she's hacked herself, then I don't see her taking the moral high ground here.

The fact that Morgan actually wrote into the newspaper of how he had listened to the tape that has been alleged to have been hacked just shows how rife hacking was. Everyone seemed to be ignoring the fact it was against the law.

yes but no one was doing it with the venom of murdochs men. And Morgan has worked for them. He will have to explain his published comments
