Ive pre booked my premier seats weeks ago
I have a countdown on my phone
I recorded all the interviews last week on daybreak
I have worked out which charactor suits all my workmates
I get a little pang whenever I think about Fred, Lupin and Tonks
I feel like its the run up to Christmas when I was small
Ive even planted a pumpkin

Well I wept reading the book when it got to Snape's memories, Thumbs, I thought I was very restrained in the cinema!

Seen it now! It was great and I avoided wailing, but did have tears streaming down my face in bits of it - oddly, mostly through Snape's memories! Bloody good film - very pleased to have seen it and 3D was excellent. :)

I agree with Cedise - they cut a lot of background from this film, and they basically skipped out on huge chapters from books 5 and 6 lol. It doesn't particularly bug me when they miss out stuff that isn't necessary, but when it's something that strikes me as a little bit important, then I notice the lack of it. Doesn't spoil the film for me though - I'll always love them regardless! :D

Oh we got to see it last night! Fabulous, fabulous film. Everyone cheered when the opening screen came up, and the whole cinema clapped and cheered at the end. Brilliant atmosphere!

I can't help feeling sorry for everyone who's seen all the films without reading the books - they had to cut loads out to make it fit the time.

You definatly enjoy the films more if you don't read the books beforehand. It's been at least 12 months since I've read them, so I enjoyed watching parts which I'd forgotten about rather than being anal about the bits they had missed.

There are always parts that they have to change, but you have to remember that there are a lot of people who enjoy the films without ever reading the books so it has to make sense to them. It must be a completely different experience for those who don't have all the background information.

Gotta say, there were very very very small niggly things that I've just kind of gone "but why haven't they done that?! It would have taken them all of 30 seconds..."

But then again I'm very anal about Harry Potter... I hated that in the fifth film we never got to see Sirius's mother [hsad]

I am resolutely NOT reading the book before I go, just so I can't be on the look out for missing bits.
Although I must find time to re-watch Part 1 before Tuesday - dunno when though!! Running out of time...

punkatheart big Thanks to your OH and everybody else who had a part in making it. I think they did a great job as always. My favorite film by far.

sooty, I agree. It was a shorter film that the last one so I think they could have added in a few more minutes for them.

I saw it last night. It was very good but there were a couple of bits from the book that I kept waiting for and which never happened.

They were good bits too!

It was brilliant, bittersweet as now it all ends, but just brilliant. Just wish they'd had more time for some of the characters like Fred & George and Tonks & Remus.
