I have been going to swimming lessons with ds for 8 weeks. We have one man in the group who stands at the end of the line and I stand next to him (being quite tall I like to stand in the deeper water) We say hello and do small talk
Three weeks ago I notice on getting out he has an erection I get a bit flustered and give him a smile and I am sure he saw me looking at it
Yesterday he had an erection as well
AIBU to be a little spooked out by this?
DH says sometimes they have a mind of their own and being in a pool with 7 women might just bring it to life

"I have honestly never seen a man with an erection at a swimming pool (except once when I was flashed at abroad) and I used to swim multiple times a week."

Perhaps, you are lucky; or blissfully unobservant; or perhaps, unlike the OP, you don't stare at men's cocks and then leer at them.

Your first mistake was to smile at his cock.
You must never ever smile at a penis.
I know from experience that this penis-grinning can only lead to bad things.

Suggest that next time he holds his small child over his erection.

Nesbo

That's exactly it, isn't it? On the Tube you can hold your bag in front of you, put your coat on, bend down to tie your laces, even miss your stop if you're that worried.

What can you do in a swimming pool? Stay in the water like some sort of cretin or brazen it out.

I don't think its unreasonable to think a man who knew he had an erection would try to hide it. Particularly in swimwear at a swimming pool. I would hope that a man in the street or on the bus or a train who had an erection would at least try to be discrete as well.

What is unclear here is whether he had an erection or whether he was trying to hide it by coming out last.

I have honestly never seen a man with an erection at a swimming pool (except once when I was flashed at abroad) and I used to swim multiple times a week.

Owning a penis is all right.

It has its ups and downs.

Probably TMI but I'm often at attention when I get off the Tube. Never notice until I have to get off, and then sometimes have to do some quick "rearranging" to make it less obvious (a real problem in summer if you don't have a coat). Probably looks like I am just touching myself up so am no doubt branded a perv when that happens.

What makes me a bit sad is the opinion that he should cut short his child's lesson short because he has a bodily function that a woman does not. Why should he get out early if he has paid for a whole session? OP, YABU. Don't look.

Well I am male yes you can get erections when you don't really want them there is not full control. And even if his erection wasn't because it was just random it might be that the OP in a bathing suit has a habit of looking at the guys shorts then smiling at him I imagine that many men would get an erection in that situation.

Piratecat - they are ace. Bollocks I can live without as these can really smart if you catch them on something, but having a todger is ace.

DH was asked to leave a pool once due to his 'arousal'. He wasn't aroused in the slightest. He had the same problem when he swam competitively. Small speedos through necessity, well endowed through luck. He was in his late teens and people just assumed he was getting carried away all the time.

I don't know why I'm telling you this.

MissMcGeek · 07/04/2011 12:37

Well yes OP he is OBVIOUSLY sexually attracted to you and can't help himself. He must be constantly just thinking about you and watching you in the pool the whole time. Seriously what a digusting excuse for a human being, a man getting an erection, probably uncontrolably, in a public place.

Hmm

Surely it depends on how he "dresses"?

My husband wears swim shorts & probably looks like he is "excited" to some as he would be pointing up rather than down iyswim & he´s not small.

But, what he wouldn´t have is a tent effectGrin

We need the opinion of more men here - come on men come here and talk about your willies!!

Seriously Im with the vaguely disturbed attitude some people have in their quickness to label men pervs and so on, its quite sad really. My DH is a SAHD and would love to train to be a childminder but is acutely aware (through experience, talking to others to) that a lot of people still think this a bit "odd" - therefore there must be somethign strange about him wanting to work with kids - yet he would be a fantastic childminder!!!!!!!

I'd just like to support MIFLAW here. I too am the proud owner of a penis and confirm that even at 38, the thing has a bloody life of its own.

If I see a naked woman, it will stir in much the same way that if I walk into a bright room from a dark one, my pupils will dilate. There's no 'choice' or control about it at all.

That said, they are by no means 'spontaneous' as has been suggested. It does take a little while to go from flaccid to firm and I think IF the chap in question felt some stirrings, he should have made his excuses pronto and been more discreet. I'd also say that swim shorts are not the most flattering of garments when wet, and it can often produce a noticable bulge around even the most flaccid of members.

You READ about it in the Sunday Times?

Or that's where he showed it off?

I did read somewhere that Rupert Brooke's party trick was to dive naked into cold water and then show off the resulting stiffie. In The Sunday Times, I think.

This thread has me weeping with laughter. It's not the kids you muppet, it's you ! He is aroused because you leered at his knob and gave him a flustered smile! Once might have been an accident, but FGS stop egging him on.

Imagine his thread on this "My swimming shorts cling to my crotch when wet, and there is a mum at the pool ogling me"

And YABU to be "spooked". If you don't to see it again, don't look. Perv Grin

"Grown men can (usually) control their willies!"

No they can't. This is (pardon the pun) bollocks.
