Your days of chopping herbs are over (!). Enter Gourmet Garden Herbs and Spices' competition to find the best Blogger-Chef by 7th December, and you'll receive a pack of Gourmet Garden goodies to cook with and blog about. They're inviting keen cooks to share recipes which feature the Gourmet Garden Herbs & Spices products during a Blog Off between 26th November and 15th December 2012. Competing blogs will get a razzle-dazzle spotlight on the Gourmet Garden site too.

4 finalists from the Blog Off get to test their skillets at a live London-based Cook-Off, judged by one of Britain's much loved TV chefs - soon to be unveiled - the winner will be whisked away on a fully-funded trip to the Cook Off Conference in Australia in May 2013. The trip includes flights, a five night stay, a tour of some fine food attractions and a professional video of the cook-off. What's more, the winning blogger will receive £3,000 for a 12-month ambassador partnership with Gourmet Garden!

So what are you waiting for? Sign up for the competition by the 7th - on your forks, get set, GO!

Nope, no sign of an email.

Won't be entering with them ever again.

Rubbish that not everyone got the email - really badly organised - I got the email last night just after I'd sent an email to James McNicholas at EdenCanCan...

Hello all

Just to let you know that we've been in touch with the guys at Gourmet Garden for an update as it seems from the thread that not everyone has had an email. We'll let you know as soon as we hear from them.

Did anyone ever hear anything about this? Am assuming I didn't get through - I thought the cook off day was on Thursday - but it would be nice to have some feedback!

Nothing. And I haven't used the tubes. I should probably throw them away at this point although I think I only opened a couple of them.

Wow. Great contest. Hmm

This is the email:

"Hello all,

It has been brought to our attention that we have had delays with pack deliveries which have made it difficult for some to complete entries by the submission date.

I wanted to let you all know that we will be happy to accept entries from everyone who has entered. Blog posts posted before the end of the year will be considered, so please do continue to utilise the herbs and spices.
Thank you to all of you who have already entered and especially those who have sent their posts to me.

Please do continue to send your posts in.

If you have any further questions etc. please do let me know.

NB: Entry has closed as usual, so there will be no further entries considered and no more products sent out.

Best wishes,
James"

I did just get an email saying they will accept entries until the end of the year. Anyone else get that?

madamegourmand · 19/12/2012 14:04

I sent my entry link to the PR company who had sent me an email to let me know my pack was on it's way and have heard nothing since! I know they were keeping the competition open until Monday 17th due to people receiving their pack late.

Hello all

Apologies, we are usually very much glued to the forums, but our pre-Christmas festivities workplan momentarily diverted our attention.

We'll draw this thread to the attention of the Gourmet Garden chaps right now, though, and let you know how how things stand as soon as we hear back.
