Why would transwoman VI (formerly RM) be upset that the interviewer thinks transwomen are not male?

VI claims to be not male, and is extremely and aggressively public about it.

VI even changed VIs name (again) to 2 female names as VI was upset at being called McKinnon (as it was too masculine).

Could also include references to wishing people death in a grease fire, but won’t.

I think it became clear that they were interviewing VI as the opposition to Sharron Davies who was on afterwards. There is a thread about this. Sharron was very good.

Sharon was good. Obviously yes, in response to that question, we are saying TW should never be allowed to compete in elite women’s sport. The central argument against this is that they become female by reducing testosterone levels - that’s clearly nonsense.

What we are not doing is trying to exclude them from sport. If a TW competes in male sport, I’d be very happy to see them win.

So Ivy thinks that changing one's legal sex via an administrative process simultaneously removes any physical advantages that person may have acquired during a testosterone-driven puberty.

How can anyone take anything this person says seriously.

Veronica Ivy (as Rachel McKinnon, I assume that is not deadnaming) has written at least one opinion piece in the New York Times on sports issues. What I remember from that piece is that she wrote that her own sex marker in her medical records is female.

That made me concerned because if that is true there might well be mistakes made in her future care when the proper treatment depends on biological sex.

No allegedly (as PP says), it a matter of public record, Ivy repeatedly refused to apologise for horrific abuse up to and just after Magdalen Burn's, justifying it because MB was a GC feminist and therefore evil.

Ivy lost her job as a tenured professor (very hard to do) because of bullying students and failure to comply with the most basic expectations of the role. She was an estate agent, last I heard.
