Interesting article. Also slightly touches on #ManFriday

Great article

A thoughtful article and good to see it in a mainstream publication.
It's been a good week for reminding people that silencing women is not a good democratic look.

Excellent, its been media coverage everyday. Bloody amazing.

Not just that, it's been coverage in new outlets. Don't think there's been anything in either the Metro or the Evening Standard before

I really like this article. I think it will resonate with the younger generation.

I think this is the best article I've read yet. Well done that journalist!

Still not seen anything in the Guardian yet...Hmm

For those doubters who didn't think a couple of women getting their boobs out at a swimming pool would achieve anything, it's had more media coverage than anything else and has finally hit the mainstream. And it's actually discussed the issues which is what we wanted!

Excellent article.
The comments though less so in places. One woman is over there using the “if you’re assaulted in the loo it’s against the law, the criminal justice system will deal with rapist”.
Yes that system which is always so fair to rape victims! Thanks.
Also now lovely that we should accept the possibility of rape because yay police exist.

Shut up about widening the scope for you being sexually assaulted because 1. it upsets my feels 2. if you’re raped you can report it, what’s the problem?

I agree, great article. Definitely an 'it's ok to be critical of self-ID" for Millennials! Which I haven't seen elsewhere either.
Also very good link underneath about night sweats and women!! I've been awake at 3am for the past 2 nights feeling like a tropical rainforest so it was very helpful. I may go and get my non-binary perimenopausal hormones checked!

I think it’s a great article and I liked that in the comments there are a number of mentions of the % of TIM’s that don’t have surgery, are hetero and AGP.
This is the bit that I think peaks most people.

Really thoughtful comments and arguments underneath the article too.

Very positive way to make people think
(although it seems it takes bare boobs to get the media interested)

However, I also read about supposedly tough Millwall FC, who cancelled a womens' group booking after being "spooked" by a TRA campaign.
The event was to protest against allowing self-ID

https://behindthepaywall2.wordpress.com/2018/03/11/tough-millwall-cave-in-to-transgender-bullies/

Meanwhile, a woman who criticised a transgender charity on Twitter has been questioned under caution by police and told she will be arrested if she tries to leave the country

Kellie-Jay Keen- Minshull accused the group Mermaids of “suppressing free speech”

She had accused Mermaids, which calls for children to be allowed irreversible sex-change treatment the NHS currently prohibits, of “prey[ing]” on gay teenagers and of “mass child abuse”

I've lurked on here a long time and occasionally posted. You amazing women opened my eyes on this issue and I am endlessly impressed with how you have bought this to the mainstream media. Hats off to all of you (and tops off to MANFRIDAY)

Great article and overwhelming positive comments with the exception of one who happens to be a transwoman. They helpfully pointed out where we are going wrong though.

Wait.... was that a corner we just turned?

I bloody hope so!

Last week I was saying I thought this battle was lost, Self ID would be made real and we would have to retrench and defend another line, before we would win the war against such ridiculous, nonsensical, yet dangerous and violent twaddle.

But no. And We have another battle cry, don't we? Throw it all back into 'their court'

Trans women are men, they expand the bandwidth of man!

Excellent article, and I really like that people are putting links in the comments to information about AGP and the stats around the numbers of transwomen who retain their male genitalia. It's so difficult for journalists to cover those sorts of things in articles, but great that commenters are widening the discussion to include the less palatable aspects that people do need to know.
