Hygienic, yes?

Hmm

She's seen a vet. She's not ill, she's just annoying.

Weird cat.

At first I was disgusted but now I just need to see more pictures of your cat...

Don't leave her in the kitchen?

We have a cat who steals food all the time so if we are going out or cooking/eating she is put to her bed in the utility room until all the dishes and food are put away. She is usually disgusted with us but it's better than having your dinner stolen!

My kitchen doesn't have a door. It's an archway scenario. She never used to go in the kitchen. Her going in is also a new thing.

Your disgust is valid, it's fucking grim. Been going on a week. We've eaten several take aways this week.

She's gorgeous!
Has anything changed recently? New cat or different litter? How old is she?

Nothing's changed. We're very boring.

I'm stumped.

Confused

Is it possible to put a stairgate up?

Feliway plug in - worked a treat for ours when he started pissing on the cooker

She's beautiful.

Wow, she looks very precious, what a beauty. Sorry I can't advise you as this is not something I've (luckily Wink) encountered with my cats.
I hope someone on here can help you.

You can get hob covers. Do you have a cat litter tray nearby?

She's a beaut! Shame about the shitting.

Apparently cats hate citrus smells so sometimes running orange peel along the edge can help deter them jumping up.

Out cat (old lady) has started pissing on a sofa - one particular one. She's been given a clean bill of health from the vet, so just putting it down to being an old thing even though she'll also do it in her tray and outside if she cba . Totally irritating and gross though (we're spending a fortune on cleaning stuff!) and we now cover the sofa when we go out and overnight. Desperate for suggestions on how to get her to stop it so will be watching this thread!

Yes to having a litter tray which also hasn't moved.

She's one of three. I also have her mother and sister. Who don't piss where I eat.

And she's young, btw. Five or six?

Been 'done'.

I've read on here before that it's advisable to have one litter tray per cat, plus a spare?

Am now the proud owner of some Feliway. Just have to wait for the postman.

Have you changed cleaning product to anything bleach / ammonia based? That's all I can offer

KingJoffreyLikesJaffaCakes · 14/12/2015 21:00

I did start using a different worktop spray.

Think Tesco substituted it. Bastards. Can I sue?

Might've been that.

Do I need to start cleaning my hob with Feliway? Grin

Try something citrusy instead

She's so gorgeous. Perhaps the new cleaner smells of wee to her and she is joining in.

Can't believe Tesco substituted my cleaner for one which smells of piss.

Totally tweeting about that.

Angry

She is gorgeous. I love her, I'm just irritated.

These are the kittens she presented us after an 'incident'. They are now worshiped like gods by my parents who fell in love with them and naughty cat was whipped off to the vet as soon as was feasible.

So she's only been trouble twice.

Tin foil on the worktops and hob?
My neighbour has this and her cat used to shit on the roof of my car but never really got to stop her as she used to lock her out of the room.
Do you have a utility room she could be shut in at night?

Report
FreckledLeopard · 14/12/2015 21:54

Try getting an additional litter tray. Plus feliway plug in AND feliway spray. And maybe the tin foil on work tops, covered in lemon zest and orange peel?!
