Yesterday I bought some own brand pouches from the co-op . Fearing it would be instantly rejected, I crossed out Co-operative from the 'loved by Us' strap line and added in black marker 'At Harrods' .

It's worked -so far....

:D

It's as well I live alone, really!

Wasn't there someone whose cat had a special (of course) circular mat in front of the fire and she'd carefully rotate it throughout the evening so he was evenly warmed ? Could easily have been me ...

Hot water bottle under his bed in the winter, picnic blanket on the lawn in summer.

Drove from south devon to west mids, and back in a day to get him into a cattery because he didn't like staying with pil and wouldn't come in.

Fluffy that's a hell,of a long way. But I would have done it too. I hope cattery fussed him suitably ? Was it a cat hotel?

Yes, they seemed to really like him. They went on to buy a Bengal of their own. It's a very good cattery.

It's when they look so comfy on your bed, and you are dying to flop in under the duvet but don't want to move the snoring cat ... Blush Grin

I bought a few Co-Op pouches recently (their deluxe version, though, not a chance in hell my Feline Mistress would touch the normal stuff, and it was only because the deluxe was on offer I thought I'd chance it). Didn't scribble out the name, but I did tell her they were very expensive (and she did eat them, so that was a justified lie in my opinion!).

I also giver her treats for her worms, which means she puts up less of a fight than otherwise.

I had a birthday tea for DS's kittens ( they turned1 last month) with sponge cake and candles. We also sang happy birthday to them before giving them a small slice of cakeGrin

I only tell other as cat people things like that, as I'm pretty sure everyone else would think I was barmy!

I just got home, picked up a cushion and put it on the floor in the sunniest spot in the living room. I did this automatically.

Then I saw this thread Blush

I once knocked on a neighbours house to speak to the cat who had been bullying my cats mother. In the manner two parents may discuss a naughty child. Seriously.

I watched him beat her up for the third time that week, no amount if yelling or water spraying would get him off her. I then marched over to the house like a woman posessed and asked "Are you catsnames mum?! He's been terrorising my cat for weeks!" I got about halfway through and thought "Oh God, 'What the fuck am I playing at? I am telling tales on a cat!" (I'm going red just typing this. My husband was not amused!)

I avoid eye contact now. Although her cat is still evil! her cat?

I make the bed around the cat sleeping on it. So really it is just made on the edges. I think all cat owners do that though?

I also move the cushion to the cat's favourite sleeping spot.

Actually I do whatever it takes to provide perfect sleeping places and not disturb the sleeping cat.

My girl gets kisses and cuddles before DH. I open the door and say 'where's my baby!'. She comes running for fuss and DH just waits in the background for his turn. hehe.

I have asked my cat if she would like me to put the fire on for her. Her answer is always "Yes".

So- a bit of an update. These co -opHarrods pouches are for "senior" cats. Dc is five. I have questions to answer.

Well... If by Dc you mean dear cat, then senior food won't provide enough calories and nutrients for a 5 yr old cat.

For a 5 yr old human Dc? ... Possibly nutritionally balanced, but dc may grow up to have ishoos. As in "my mother made me eat cat food." Grin

We've only had our kitten two months but one thing I can think of is he's got his own bloody iPhone! I downloaded Cat App for him on my old one and he LOVES it. So it goes on charge for him every night alongside ours.

If anyone comes round with an iPhone or iPad he starts jabbing at it! I just feign ignorance. Grin

We made the mistake of giving DCat 1 his own bedroom with his own climbing tower when we moved in...it's been a year and we're waiting for the right time to break the news that he has to move downstairs with DCat 2...

When I collapsed 10 days ago (gallstones) I came round in the shop, demanded they carry my bag to the bus stop and crawled onto it to get home. Only when I had served Mr Cory his lunch - Gourmet from said bag - did I call an ambulance.
