German subtitled 10 parter released today. Have just watched the first 3 episodes and am hooked. Cross between Stranger Things, Les Revenant and Twin Peaks. I was mildly irritated by the wilful oddness of it at first but episode 3 is very very good and unlike anything I have ever seen before.

Please people watch, I’m dying to discuss!!

How did you get subtitles?

I was quite looking forward to this but mine was dubbed and looked a bit ridiculous which has put me off. I only got about 15 minutes in.

Changed it back to language German and switched subtitles on. You can do it within Netflix. I forgot about that! The dubbing put me off too!

I’m watching it and have got used to the dubbing (sort of). Have watched 2 episodes - I’m looking forward to ep 3 now since you say it’s very very good!

It is very very good! I finished watching it earlier & put ep 1 straight back on to watch it all again! There's so much happening in it & so many main characters! I was finding it hard to remember who was who & which family is which haha! Such a good story!

Yes I’m struggling to keep up with all the characters in the present let alone in the past! Have just finished episode 6.

Desperately trying to work out who the guy with the hood is!

This is what I'm having trouble with at the moment. I'm on ep 3 and I have to keep checking IMDB to keep track of who's who.

Lot better with subtitles though so thanks for that.

I have watched 2 episodes too. I kind of got used to the dubbing in the end, would prefer subtitles though so will try that.

I loved les revenants and stranger things as well so I have high hopes for this. I thought the hooded man who turned up at the hotel was Mikel? The younger boy who went missing?

Just watching epsiode 4.

Would they really have let the little girl sit outside the school and go home on her own when there are kids going missing left, right and centre?

(I hope) at my kids school if school was shutting early, they'd text parents (rather than write it in a homework book) and they wouldn't let the kids leave without an adult physically handing them over to an adult. And that's without a spate of missing kids.

Courtney: Yes that bit was completely unbelievable. As is all the teenagers keep walking in the woods when there are so many missing kids and a dead body!

Most of the people on the town have very loose morals! Everyone is having affairs! No-one is especially likeable.

Let me know once past the “big reveal” in episode 5 (I think). Really want to discuss it!

Ha, I was right! Saw that coming from ep 2 though.

Finding it hard to work out who's connected to who still. Hadn't realised it was Ulrich's dad who was having the affair with Claudia (?) and I'm still not quite sure who Claudia's family is

Claudia’s daughter is the woman who is running the hotel and her husband is the guy who owns the nuclear plant.

I thought that M was going to be the hooded guy somwas surprised. What I can’t get my head around is that Mikkel and Michael would have existed at the same time in the present timeline. Older M would have seen himself born and grow up. How does that work??

Yeah, you're not normally allowed to go near your younger self in time travelling fantasies because you'll blow yourselves out of the continuum

Yes, I've just worked out that Claudia's daughter is Hotel Lady. Is her husband someone in the past? And Noah is the priest who came to see Mikkel in the hospital?

Yes Noah saw Mikkel in hospital and was also the “drug dealer” that hotel ladies son (can’t temember his name!) went to meet in the car. Do you think he’s done something to him? Still for the life of me can’t work out who the hooded guy is in the past, if anyone. And who is it doing the experiments on the first missing boy that possibly leads to the burnt out eyes? And what are Ulrich’s Dad and the gay husband of the police woman up to?? So much going on! Can’t keep up!

I feel like I'm live-blogging this, but this is the problem when series drop all at once. My theory (and I'm about 10 mins into Ep7) is that it's J. I don't know why I think that though.

Okay. Will be watching Ep7 tonight. I’ve heard that they go even further back to a 3rd timeline so perhaps he’s from that time. Isn’t it repeating every 3 odd years or something?

Finished it and enjoyed it. If they're making another series, they'd better do it soon or I'm going to have forgotten who everyone is and who they're related to

I think I need to start working on a room like the hooded man had in the hotel so I won't lose track...

I'm onto episode 7. It's bloody brilliant! I too was proud of myself for guessing M was J's dad. I also think the hooded stranger is J from the future.

Ooh I have noticed that the hooded stranger has some kind of mark across his neck. I wonder when that will come into play? Also, for me the most unbelievable part has been when Regina's husband called up and was told her mammogram results over the phone, surely that wouldn't happen?!
