Watching. Quite hard to watch but I think a lot of parents should watch this with their pre teens/teenagers. It's a really important message in today's society.

Very powerful stuff. I agree that young teens would benefit from seeing it with their parents. The techie stuff was very scary, and I guess it's probably all possible.

It's all very possible, although such extreme cases are obviously rare. When I was a chat room obsessed pre teen I got speaking to someone who started making my Disc holder open and close. I nearly had a heart attack. Luckily nothing more came of it.

Really important for people to understand what a huge effect a simple anonymous bitchy comment can have.

It was very powerful and scary as the parent of an 8 year old...can see aspects of that becoming our reality in the not so distant future and I don't feel ready and able to deal with it

I thought it was very good and if my kids were older I would get them to watch it. I thought the bit where she opened her bedroom door at the end was very powerful, its was to forget there is real life the other side of the door sometimes when you get too involved in the cyber world.

Wow! Even as an adult it got me thinking how scary it must be to be the one sat in front of that screen. Very powerful.

They said it was based on real events. I think it should be shown to all teenagers.
The problem nowadays is that people post things without any thought to the future. Everything is so instant now, yet it remains as a permanent record.

My 8 year old has a tablet and watches YouTube videos (only downstairs in family rooms) and plays games (like moshi monsters/animal jam) on the laptop so she can send messages to her friends (only real life friends etc!) it's already hard enough at the moment making sure she's aware of the dangers of making friends with someone she doesn't know, or watching unknown random videos on YouTube, but with Facebook, Twitter etc in a few years time, no doubt, it's scary stuff!! Not to mention she'll want to disappear off to her bedroom to do it...!

My 15yo was somewhat unimpressed.

I did think it was a bit laboured. It felt to me like a feature length CEOPS film. Maisie was brilliant and I recognised aspects of well known cyber bullying stories in there, but overall I found it a bit sensationalised and I think it's more likely to turn teenagers off (finding it over egged) than otherwise.

And please, don't stop your children getting Internet access as the result of this. Monitor it and teach them to use it properly instead. Its very important.

I told my dd to watch it as I thought it would be good information. Stupid me there is a section showing self harm & she is facing challenges with that. Feel awful I even mentioned it was on. Seeing the self harm image made me feel sick. Hoping she won't download it tomorrow.

Summer watch it first and see what you think but I doubt it. There's swearing etc but mostly because it's quite scary/suicide themes
