UniS Tue 01-Sep-09 19:41:08

I think they are just plain wrong.

chattermouse Tue 01-Sep-09 19:42:30

I think they look ace on trim teenagers and under 25's. I don't reckon they have much scope for the rest of us, great legs or not!

chaosisawayoflife Tue 01-Sep-09 20:03:52

Hate them!

noddyholder Tue 01-Sep-09 20:05:37

They are so useful to stop that bunched up jeans in boots look!I have a pair and they are jusst like a pair of v tight skinny jeans on On the hanger is another story though!

NoahFence Tue 01-Sep-09 20:06:37

they are SUCh a good idea and so comfy

are so much better than jeans in boots - are like weairing pjs comfort wise too

KingRolo Tue 01-Sep-09 20:09:39

I really want some maternity ones

NoahFence Tue 01-Sep-09 20:15:52

I am 39 size 12 - 14 and no one has openly laughed

KingRolo Tue 01-Sep-09 20:17:03

I just don't think they are a garment that likes women.

triffictits Tue 01-Sep-09 20:17:35

where do you get them from? I saw some in Next but they didnt look as good as some of the ones I have seen on people

NoahFence Tue 01-Sep-09 20:18:23

youd be suprised
new look - they stretch so get the size smaller if in between

noddyholder Tue 01-Sep-09 20:18:26

My dp is very good with riducle-o meter and he hasn't flinched! If you get a decent pair and treat tehm as jeans they look good.Don't like with dresses or the ubiquitous tunic though.Could wear with long slouchy jumpers and look elegant and not too mutton

triffictits Tue 01-Sep-09 20:25:06

oh I will have a look in New Look - are they the leggings in denim blue that you are talking about, or the ones that are actually like jeans, with pockets etc?

noddyholder Tue 01-Sep-09 20:27:38

They are like v stretchy jeans with a flat elastic waist band. Some have pockets etc on bum some don't.I bought a pair in a small shop near me and they looked awful on the hanger but I love them.I feel slimmer in them than leggings agree with noah gt a smaller size and thy sculpt you

spiderinthebath Tue 01-Sep-09 20:42:29

eeek might be persuaded now, was on fence before, damn it just put in new look order too :0)

jujumaman Tue 01-Sep-09 20:44:58

Ooh, I am tempted

Anywhere else rec'd for them besides new look?

AnyFucker Tue 01-Sep-09 21:04:23

I have some "treggings" from Top Shop. I deliberated for ages, thinking I would look too "mutton". However, these are quite heavyweight, don't go see-thru when on your legs and very flattering

I am 40+, size 10.

MerlinsBeard Tue 01-Sep-09 21:19:36

there are a few styles, i had a pair of the skinnier than skinny jeans jeggings and they looked awful (the arse was saggy in them so i returned them) I now practically live in my jeggings that are demin "look" - i heart them!

I am 27 and size 6-8

triffictits Tue 01-Sep-09 22:51:44

can anyone do a link to a pair?

AnyFucker Tue 01-Sep-09 22:58:31

LevitatingCopy Tue 01-Sep-09 23:18:37

I reckon if you're an apple, give them a go and flaunt your scrawny legs <jealous>

If you're a pear, don't even think about it unless you're a size 10 or under, and even then you'll look a bit carroty unless you're VERY careful.

triffictits Wed 02-Sep-09 11:25:17

thanks AF.

So they are just like jeans, with seams and pockets etc - the ones I tried on were just like leggings but a denim colour - may try the new look ones.
