I think they are just plain wrong.

I think they look ace on trim teenagers and under 25's. I don't reckon they have much scope for the rest of us, great legs or not!

I just don't think they are a garment that likes women.

triffictits · 01/09/2009 20:17

where do you get them from? I saw some in Next but they didnt look as good as some of the ones I have seen on people

Report
NoahFence · 01/09/2009 20:18

youd be suprised
new look - they stretch so get the size smaller if in between

noddyholder · 01/09/2009 20:18

My dp is very good with riducle-o meter and he hasn't flinched! If you get a decent pair and treat tehm as jeans they look good.Don't like with dresses or the ubiquitous tunic though.Could wear with long slouchy jumpers and look elegant and not too mutton

triffictits · 01/09/2009 20:25

oh I will have a look in New Look - are they the leggings in denim blue that you are talking about, or the ones that are actually like jeans, with pockets etc?

Report
noddyholder · 01/09/2009 20:27

They are like v stretchy jeans with a flat elastic waist band. Some have pockets etc on bum some don't.I bought a pair in a small shop near me and they looked awful on the hanger but I love them.I feel slimmer in them than leggings agree with noah gt a smaller size and thy sculpt you

Ooh, I am tempted

Anywhere else rec'd for them besides new look?

Report
AnyFucker · 01/09/2009 21:04

I have some "treggings" from Top Shop. I deliberated for ages, thinking I would look too "mutton". However, these are quite heavyweight, don't go see-thru when on your legs and very flattering

I am 40+, size 10.

MerlinsBeard · 01/09/2009 21:19

there are a few styles, i had a pair of the skinnier than skinny jeans jeggings and they looked awful (the arse was saggy in them so i returned them) I now practically live in my jeggings that are demin "look" - i heart them!

I am 27 and size 6-8

Report
triffictits · 01/09/2009 22:51

can anyone do a link to a pair?

I reckon if you're an apple, give them a go and flaunt your scrawny legs

If you're a pear, don't even think about it unless you're a size 10 or under, and even then you'll look a bit carroty unless you're VERY careful.

triffictits · 02/09/2009 11:25

thanks AF.

So they are just like jeans, with seams and pockets etc - the ones I tried on were just like leggings but a denim colour - may try the new look ones.
