Minimal make-up kit for postnatal photos

Can anyone recommend a good foundation, glow or powder that I can quickly whack on before I have my photo taken after my next baby arrives? I looked like Frankenstein in my last lot...

Obviously I will be knackered and possibly without access to a decent mirror, so I'm after something really foolproof.

Is mineral make-up any good?

I really like Maybellines mineral powder, but it's loose and maybe a bit of a messy faff in hospital. Max Factors Infinity pressed powder foundation gives good coverage,if your skin is pretty good you could apply with a fluffy brush for ease and just dab on with the sponge if you've any bits needing more coverage. Decent size mirror in lid too. It's not oil free so if you need a matte powder No17s oil free translucent is really good. Or try a tinted moisturiser?

Thank you pollyblue, I like the sound of the Max Factor one with the mirror! Will have a test tomorrow - thanks again

Keep your eyebrows tidy in the run up to the birth if you can. I had an em cs with my first dc, but as my eyebrows were soooo beautifully groomed I still looked bright eyed and presentable.

I use body shop mineral powder, and it would be a faff in hospital - i would try a nice tinted moisturiser, uh....

having nicely manicured nails is good - for the holding the baby shots...

I think the Sweaty Ghost look is compulsory actually...

Having said that, you have reminded me of how much the midwives took the piss out of me putting mascara on during labour...

Before DD I had a beautiful manicure, with striking autumnal brown nails. As soon as she was born I wished I'd gone with something natural.

Thanks everyone, my credit card is now twitching happily! Will check out the suggestions

LOL at "Sweaty Ghost" - I was more "Uncooked Pasty!"

Benefit Some kinda gorgeous, it's in a compact with a mirror and isn't heavy or tricky to apply.
