Do you get changed into 'house' clothes when you get in? And what are they like?

Or are we weird?

Me and dh HAVE to get changed when we arrive home or don't feel comfortable.

We wear appalling clothes round the house.
I would be embarassed to answer the door, tbh.

I normally put PJs on and DH a tshirt with horrendous football shorts.

Not house clothes but quite often I get straight into my pyjamas - heaven.

Me too nickytwotimes. I come in from work and stick on a really old pair of jogging trousers and an old baggy maternity fleece.
I look desperately unattractive and would be embarassed answering the door. Would have to change if I wanted to leave the house even for a pint of milk.
However, I am supremely comfortable, and that's so important, don't you think?

No house clothes as such but do change from work outfit (smart trousers/blouse type top generally) into jeans and t-shirt or similar. I never wear what I would describe as "appalling" clothes unless I am decorating.

oh yes, my house clothes are horrid

I hide if anyone knocks at the door

If DH lets anyone in I have to do a snidy run upstairs to get changed (ggiving him daggers as I go

I have been trapped in the kitchen several times in scuzzy, baggy trackies (if I am in there I can't get to the stairs BUT if I go out the back door and duck down under the window I can get in the front door and whizz upstairs )

yup pjs or velour lounging suit ( a female Noel Coward if you will)
dh will wear old jeans ripped at the crotch (ventilation he says) perhaps more Wayne and Waynetta Slob really
clothes are so bad, I would change first if the house was on fire...

yep, just before I give the bubs dinner, I'm out of whatever I've been wearing that day and into jeans and a primark tee-shirt. Puree-tastic!

I have always done this.

However in the last four years of being on MN if I am being really trashy, I find myself thinking....Thanks be to Jesus, Cod can't see me.

Oh yes, I do this. In the winter this consists of some navy blue joggers and any random sweatshirt.
In the summer it tends to be my cotton stripy pj bottoms (look a bit like summer trousers so I feel okay being seen watering hte garden in them) and any old short sleeved top.
I just CANNOT stay in my 'outside' clothes. I especially have to take of my bra, I am huge of nork so it is a relief to remove the hammock and let the ladies swing free
I would be very embarrased to anser the door though, but luckily not many people drop round unannounced and if they do they just have to take me as they find me....

Fleecy baggy PJ's comfort over visitors (who are used to it now)

I am currently sporting a pair of trackie trousers and a vest top with emulsion on it. Oh, and socks with holes.

I am a disgrace, but, hey, so are you lot.

Oh, and we both get changed even if we've just been out to the shop.

yes, exmrsf, this is the one exception - I NEVER give my babies dinner without a full face of slap! NEVER!! what would they think of me?? So I have a magnifying mirror on an arm, it is attached to the hood, Gets a bit steamy but I like to think of it as a soft-focus flatter. Means my blending can sometimes be a bit dodge though ...

I have 2 pairs of absolutely awful Matalan velour tracksuit bottoms that I bought when pregnant with DD2 to lounge around it. They are covered in bleach marks from cleaning in them. DH thought I had burnt them after giving birth and was absolutely mortified when I resurrected them for the rest of my pregnancy with DC3. My excuse is that he won't want sex whilst I wear them so I get a respite for 9 months. I am a glamour puss the rest of the time, honest!
