Has anyone seen my holy grail of boots in the shops?
I'm looking for flat, black, tall (under the knee) leather boots in a 9 or 42. Preferably under £100. I'm currently wearing these, but the zip is broken so I have to unlace them which is tedious.
I have skinny calves so nothing too wide please.

I keep looking at these but they are far too spendy. Sad

A cobbler might be able to repair the zip?

I think they're about 10 years old, and they're definitely well-worn. I think it's time to replace them.

Have you looked at Duo boots?? May not be under £100 but go up to a 9...

These are over £100, but I have slim calves and have bought in a few colours as it's so rare to find !

The ones the poster above linked are fabulous. I bought them to replace a pair I’d had years and years. Really comfortable. I bought them from John Lewis. They give some idea of the calf measurements.

From Barbour. On their site they are £179, but an independent shop near me had them for £120.

There aren't really any slim-calf alternatives to Duo, in my experience. They're expensive for a reason - it can't be easy producing in so many different shoe and calf sizes.

However, I know some Mumsnetters have had success here: www.valverdebotas.com/en/

They are basically the same as Penelope Chilvers.
