Where do you buy your jeans

As been a larger lady I've not worn jeans for years but lost a bit of weight now and think I'll get some jeans
Where do you recommend for shopping for jeans and what style do you recommend for a 50 something and a size 16 ?
Would be easier if you could just go to a shop and try them on but can't right now 😕

Peacocks. Style will depend on your preference but I get their skinny high rise size 16. They are very generous around the waist for me but tighter on the legs.

I go for Esprit.co.uk as they have a variety of styles and, importantly, free returns. They often have price reductions too.

Style wise, I don't know. I still go for skinny, preferably with a highish rise to control my stomach!

I like M&S Ivy jeans, they’re skinnies and fit me perfectly.

My suggestion would be to have a think about the shape you fancy, then order a load from ASOS. They have lots of different brands, and you can filter by size, colour, brand, fit. Then try them at home and send back what you don’t want. Delivery and returns are free.

M&S ivy jeans - the best!

Tk max for me, it’s a bit hit n miss as to what the stocks like though. Got some nice Diesel jeans the other day for £16smile

Uniqlo ultra stretch or levi

WeeM Thu 06-Aug-20 12:08:59

M and S Ivys are fab! And not expensive either.

H&M, they have every possible style. Buy online and return anything you don't like. I'd size up though.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions it's a great starting point

I am skinnier on the legs and larger round the waist so the peacocks ones sound a good option

I'm a similar figure and go for M and S, Fat face and White Stuff

I'm 55 Love Top shop Jamie's( skinny) but they do lots of nice styles

Matalan, suit my shape.

I'm an 18 and Dorothy Perkins jeans seem to be the best for me.
I don't normally buy much in there but just picked up a pair in the sale a while ago.
They were skinny ankle grazers.

Amyheadache Thu 06-Aug-20 22:50:57

Not normally my style but joules and fat face both do lovely jeans with just the right amount of stretch

Topseyt Thu 06-Aug-20 22:52:44

M & S. The only ones that usually fit me.

thefourgp Thu 06-Aug-20 22:54:27

I’m a 16 and Matalan are my favourite jeans

OneMillionSteps Thu 06-Aug-20 22:57:12

I’m a similar size and age and these are my current favourite jeans from Next:

I'm finding George/Asda high rise skinny jeans are a good fit just now and very forgiven around the tummy as well. Even found a pair of high rise bootcut jeans as well.

Vole3 Fri 07-Aug-20 18:07:32

Asda Wonderfit skinny jeans. Indigo or black and with Lycra to support comfortably

HospitalToast Fri 07-Aug-20 18:09:46

M&Co have a good range of stretchy jeans with higher waists. I’m a 16 and I like the range of styles and shades of blue. It’s easy to return stuff so buy a selection and take back what you don’t want to keep.

Gabi1412 Fri 07-Aug-20 18:40:28

M&S Lily are fabulous- stretch - good waistband with regular or
Cropped options- don’t try on in shops - mirrors hideous and a really depressing experience!!
