Should I buy it?

There is a skirt on the Boden website that in ordinary times I wouldn't hesitate to buy. It's my favourite cut, my favourite colour and in stretch cotton. It has 40% off and they have it in my size.

However it's a smart work skirt. I am working from home for the foreseeable future. I won't wear it at home.

Asked dh his view and he said 'oh that's a pisser' and went to make me a cup of tea. So great help.

You will have meetings in the future. Buy it!

Is it the spot one? I’ve not bought anything in ages from Boden but that keeps popping up in my social media and I like it.

Order it, you can return it if you change your mind.

Buy it. I bought some work shoes recently and I’m not likely to be in for the foreseeable but I will be one day and I really like them and they’re a style that won’t go out of fashion.

If it's not super-fashionable and won't date, buy it.

Buy and post in here for styling ideas!
I'm only just getting into this but you can change the look of an item pretty quickly with different styling.
If you love it, buy it!

Buy it! You still have a body and it deserves to be clad.

Rather oddly when I posted this the ap said it didn't post so thank you for the replies. I have bought it (well 2 actually to check which one fits). It's the green pencil wrap skirt if anyone is any good at links.

I also bought a jumper (also green cotton - spot a theme.....).

Still not convinced though - going to have to look spot on for me to keep.

It's beautiful but I have a feeling it's going to wrinkle like mad!

You could easily wear that green wrap skirt with a white t shirt and flat sandals to dress it down. Or a tucked in lightweight jumper and ankle boots.
Equally could really dress it up with a satin camisole and heels for a night out.

Ooooooh that's lovely!

It does look like it would crease horribly , it has on the models and they presumably only had it on 10 mins. Also can't imagine it looking good without heels on. I don't specifically dislike it though, it looks nice on the models.

I think I would probably leave it OP but it depends on your job role and when you (genuinely) expect to go back. DP is office based and has been told he is WFH until December and potentially 'indefinitely' so your own circumstances may well dictate whether there's much point I'd it won't get worn outside of work

It looks lovely but the reason I wouldn’t but it is that the wrap parts look like they barely overlap. I know when I walked in it, I’d be showing a lot of thigh. I hate that with wrap skirts, I wish the would make the wrap, well, wrap more.

The logic I’m applying to purchases is to only buy for autumn winter. I’m also only buying capsule items that are not made in China - no matter what is in the sale - and have taken advantage of the 25% off full price items like at whistles etc..

I love the idea of it without white T-shirt and espadrilles but like the others it looks like it would crease terribly.

So it arrived.

The wrap is way better than in the picture and goes all the way around. I am going to keep as it suits me, it's fairly thick so I think I can wear it all year round and it goes with a lot of my stuff - it is very 'me'. Oh and pockets!

I think it is quite creasy though tbh.

I was probably a bit more pleased with the jumper I got as well - can't wear wool including cashmere so a smart cotton jumper is something of a holy grail item for me and it fits me like a glove. It's quite thick though so deffo one for the autumn.
