Just wondering if I'd look ridiculous in something like this at my age.

What do you think?

I think if you think you'd feel fabulous in it, buy it and fuck anyone who's sneery. The most fabulous people are always those who own their style and feel good in it, regardless of age.

It's cute. I fancy trying it myself with AN Audrey Hepburn crop and lipstick.

I like it.
I think you need to have small ish boobs for it to look right on, because of the high neckline.

Otherwise, it will look like a maternity smock.

I was ready to cringe at anything 'sailor'...but its quite nice.

I'm too tall and busty for it, but I can imagine on someone fairly straight up and down it would look good.

I think it could look really lovely on a tall, slim person with wee boobs.

On me (who is none of the above) it would look horrific.

I can see someone like Samantha Cameron in it. Do you have a similar build? I don't think it would be forgiving on anyone busty or hippy.

Yep, totally depends on your body shape I think.

I really like that. I was expecting to see a full on sailor dress with matching hat.

Thanks so much for all the opinions!

I agree that you should wear what you like and stuff everybody else. But it's nice to have an idea of how others might perceive it (obviously there's only so much you can assess over the internet).

I am fairly small of boob so that's no issue. I will give it a try and see what I think. When I was younger it would have looked fab on me. I'm on the SamCam side figure-wise, though probably with a bit more of a bum and hips and tummy. We shall see!

Yes I was expecting a Fergie maternity dress with straw boater.

Yours with some white plimmys will be lovely.

Am I too old for a dress like this? I am 44 and I have lost a lot of weight recently. So I have not bought a nice dress for a long while. I have to go to a wedding in a couple of weeks and I like this one and the website was recommended to me by a friend. But I am not sure if it is a little young for me. Advice please!

Lovely dress user. I don't think it is a particularly young style at all.

I agree, it's not a particularly young style and I wouldn't think twice about anyone of 25 and up wearing it! You should go for it, it's lovely.

Looks like a grown up version of a sailor dress. If your proportions are right for it, go for it!
