They are now available on QVC easy pay! I can't believe I have just ordered one and spent so much on a hair dryer!! But at least I can send it back if I don't love it.
I just thought I'd pop here to share the news Smile

Will watch with interest for your review as just toying with either this or a parlux

BounceBounceSplishSplash · 27/04/2017 12:30

Received an email from QVC earlier about that. Please come back when it arrives OP and let us know what you think of it!

Mindgone · 27/04/2017 13:44

Will do Smile
Wondering whether to hide it from DH!

I was mulling over buying one but after reading all the bad reviews on amazon and other sites I decided against it. I suspect it may depend on your hair type but there were a lot of reviews saying it is very drying especially for long hair and makes it go frizzy. Guess it makes sense if it is a more powerful dryer. Maybe best for shorter hair.

Be interested to hear what you think OP.

habibihabibi · 27/04/2017 14:37

I have it .It is exceptionally quiet and very powerful but for £300 not that amazing !

Camnico · 27/04/2017 14:41

I have it and for the amount I paid for it I don't like it.

It's quiet tho, I have a baby so good for nap times lol

Mindgone · 27/04/2017 15:19

Thanks, it's because of mixed reviews, as well as the price, of course, that I was waiting for qvc to sell it, so I can try it for up to 30 days, and send it back if not convinced. I'm really not sure if I want to love it or not, but I definitely want to play with one! Grin

It is absolutely brilliant, as I found out today, for drying dogs.
Usually my pooch hates the noise of an ordinary dryer but lay perfectly still for his monthly blow out after his bath .

Nanasueathome · 28/04/2017 19:06

I've just ordered one..
My DIL is a hairdresser and she uses one and loves it
She used hers on my hair and did not need to use the hair straighteners, it looked amazing
Will try the one from QVC, see how it goes, knowing I can return it if I'm not fully convinced

pinkyredrose · 28/04/2017 19:07

How much is it on QVC please?

Optimist1 · 28/04/2017 19:10

In addition to habibi's top tip, it is excellent for blowing cobwebs out from behind the radiators. Grin

Monkeyface26 · 28/04/2017 19:11

I absolutely LOVE mine. If it broke, I would buy another one as soon as possible. It is a lot of money but three of us have long, thick hair and it's saved so much time. It takes less time to straighten hair afterwards too.

Mindgone · 28/04/2017 23:11

Pinkyredrose, it's still £300, but you can pay in 3 instalments, and you can send it back within 30 days if you don't like it.

Well, it arrived today!
I blow dried my hair the way I usually do, and the experience didn't seem very different from normal. Obviously I'll put it through its paces, but first impression is a bit underwhelmed.
Don't know if I'm happy or sad, big bonus of £300 back if I don't like it at least! Smile

I have one and I absolutely adore it. Made a huge difference to how my hair looks on a day to day basis. Make sure you follow the instructions about finishing off with a cold blow, though.

Wouldn't be without mine now. All I will say is make sure you take all the plastic packaging off the dryer itself otherwise it won't work properly. I didn't realise this for three days and thought I had spent £300 on a dud!

Babyiwantabump · 03/05/2017 08:57

I got one for my birthday and love it! I have really thick long hair and it dries it within 5 minutes and I no longer need to use straighteners! My hair is also really smooth and feels lovely afterwards when I used to have to straighten it to make it feel like that.

Wouldn't be without it !

Mindgone · 03/05/2017 10:07

Kreamy and Baby, which nozzle do you start off with? And do you just use your fingers to style your hair or a brush?

OP posts:
Mindgone · 03/05/2017 10:10

And thanks for the plastic tip, will take it off! Blush

Optimist1 · 03/05/2017 20:00

While you're waiting for the others to answer your question, Mind, I use the wider nozzle to start with to get the hair a bit dry, then the narrow one for the styling. I use a round brush when drying because I'm aiming for a smooth look for hair which is a bit prone to frizz.

There are some good tutorials on YouTube, which I thought were worth watching to get the technique. I'd definitely recommend finishing off with a cold shot for keeping everything smooth (I have shoulder-length hair and just run the brush down the length of it with the cold air aimed downwards). Mindgone · 03/05/2017 20:16

Thanks Optimist1, I'll give YouTube a go before I try again tomorrow! Smile

Have just put one in my basket on qvc, figure I'll try it and if I don't like it I can send it back, secretly hoping l I love it Wink

How good it the cool shot? Do you need to take the nozzle off or does it work with it still in? Also is it cool or cold?

Buy a parlux. Better and cheaper

Optimist1 · 03/05/2017 21:06

Re the cool shot - it works with or without nozzle, at all levels of power and it's genuinely cold. It's really good, IMO.

Babyiwantabump · 04/05/2017 08:29

I use the larger of the two nozzles (can't remember what it's called)with a wet brush paddle brush and just blow dry it straight.
