Hi there, I was just thinking, as I go through my early morning ritual of scrolling down threads about terrible Monsoon skirts, what shoes go with this dress, best shampoos for a keratin treatment, is £1500 too much to spend on a bag etc etc that this really is my Tibetan Mountain Retreat in a sea of i-DO-NOT-want-my-toe-nails-clipped-he-won't-let-me-talk-let-your-brother-talk-there's-no-milk-left-500-emails-in-your-in-box-the-world-has-finally-gone-freaking-mad-i-forgot-my-best-friend's-birthdayness

It's my happy place too. I tend to come here after checking the awfulness of my bank balance to cheer myself up. Although thinking about it, there may be some correlation between my live of S&B and said bank balance!

NewPants- I tried on some Gap girlfriend jeans yesterday. Impressed with the fit. I needed them in a longer length. Might be worth a look?

Thanks Bubbles. I must pull myself together and do proper jeans shopping. I find it so depressing but my shapeless Sainsbury faithfuls have now got thigh holes and the two potential replacements I picked up are hopeless. I'll give them a try.

Oh god me too OP I was thinking the same thing just now.

I began reading S&B about a month ago (after being on MN for 8 years!) and lately i've barely looked at the miserable boards AIBU, Chat or Rships any more. And i think i feel better for it!

I knew S&B was here, it's referenced a lot across MN, but i imagined it was really slow moving.

friendlyflicka shudders at thought of political pet threads! I do find people can get very exercised about:

• scarves
  
• strong perfume
  
• the white stuff (who knew???)
  
• flannels
  

But apart from that, all good!
