Red lipstick and liner recommends pls - outfit in pics

40th birthday coming up.
Not big on dresses and wanting a confidence boost.
Outfit is leather leggings, silk camisole, leopard heels and tuxedo jacket with some dangly earrings,

I'm fair / pink undertoned skin, blue eyes. Medium brown hair. Nice lips but not the sparkliest smile ( not yellow either though!).

Think the outfit needs a bold red lippy. Would prefer a satin finish over too glossy or very matte. Recommendations please?

Can you get to any decent make up counters? It'd be well worth it. Mac have a tonne of lovely reds.

I like Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in Liberté, it is quite sheer but looks good with fair skin.

The Rimmel Kate reds are good, in that case. They do a good few.
111 almost an exact colour match with Mac ruby woo - more or less a neutral red. It'll suit most people but certainly not all. They claim it's a matte but it's not really, satin would be a fair description.

01 is very similar indeed to mac russian red. It's a deeper colour than 111 but a reasonably neutral shade.

I wouldn't go for a red actually, I would go for one of the new deep purple / burgundy type shades that are out at the moment. Gives a modern twist to the rest of the outfit which is quite classic, not in a bad way.

Mac ruby woo is a shade that suits pretty much everyone, also fashionably matte.

The OP doesn't really want matte though and Ruby Woo isn't just matte. It's ultra matte, practically absorbs light. I absolutely love it. Adore it even, if that's not OTT where lipstick is concerned. The colour and the finish.

It is too matte / heavy for a lot of people to manage to wear though, even when they love the look of it the heaviness of the formula can be too much.

Kate 111 thing if you fancy the colour of ruby woo without the true matte finish.

YSL No 1 sounds like it would fit your brief.

Nars Velvet Matte lip pencils - lipstick and liner in one. Cruella, Dragon Girl and Mysterious Red are all bold reds. Or Majella/Luxembourg in the Satin lip pencil line.

Thank you so much.
I think I'll start with the Rimmel Kate moss recommends, mainly as I've not really worn red before and so don't want a massive spend commitment if I can achieve the right look for less £££
