Dupe needed for Estée Lauder Double Wear

Morning, money's a little tight at the moment and I need to try and find a dupe for Estée Lauder Double Wear foundation. Is there such a thing. Any suggestions please?

I believe revlon colourstay and loreal infallible are supposed to be good cheaper options with similar texture and finish.

I second Loreal Infallible, with a decent primer it lasts me all day and gives the same level of coverage.

Revlon Colourstay is the best I've found. Love it

Definitely the Infallible in the squeezy tube. Great stuff.

L'oreal Infallible Matte. The one in the long skinny tube. I actually think it's better than Doublewear. A nicer finish yet the same level of coverage.

Thanks so much for your suggestions and all a lot more affordable than double wear. I will go and investigate this afternoon. Smile

rimmel 25hr red lid...got me through some skint months before going back to double wear. matched my shade using findation website.

I love Colourstay and it has a good coverage.

I bought the Loreal infallible and by God I can't believe it's so shit, if that's comparible to Double Wear then I'm glad I haven't wasted my money on trying some! Good colour but soooo drying I can hardly apply it. I've tried a beauty blender- damp and dry, a stipple brush,a foundation brush and my fingers and it's probably the worst foundation I've ever used. What on earth am I doing wrong? It gets such good reviews but it's like applying crumbly chalk to my face!

I agree with the revlon colour stay, it has a good range of shades too.

I have the whipped Colorstay and I don't think its as good as the DW.

I am trying to stretch out the tiny bit of DW that I have left, any tips on getting the last bits out? I have the bottle standing upside down, and dabbing out of the lid, but there is still a lot left in the bottle. I was thinking of adding a couple of drops of serum/oil?

Maybe a Colton bud would work?

I liked the whipped Revlon one.

**cotton

Ooh thanks Dame, I didn't think of a cotton bud Wink. I find the whipped one very drying. It might be as its winter here now and so my skin is drier than usual, so I will use it up in the summer when I resemble an oil slick

Yes thanks for the findation site. I have been reading reviews for all of your suggestions, definitely more affordable for me. Double wear is fab but so expensive.

The Rimmel 25 hr one with the red lid is bloody excellent except it's not matte but rather is quite moisturising and IMO is more suitable for people who find DW too drying.

I disliked the whipped Revlon one too tbh. It just didn't go on me nice. Mind you, the regular CS wasn't very nice on me either.

I suspect people either suit the Revlon or the L'oreal but rarely both!

Revlon Colourstay for sure, in the normal/dry formula is really really good and a similar level of coverage.

I want to recommend the colour stay aswell. I bought mine in the winter and it was a tad too dark for me.

Tried it this weekend and was really pleased with how much coverage it gives and it stays on a lot longer than my other foundations and is the cheapest.

Love it

no problem..the shade it matched me to in rimmel was spot on. I found the rimmel one good and although my shiny nose came through quicker than double wear I'd definitely buy it again if needed.
I had to tweak my routine though as mentioned above its not as drying as eldw and I'd let my moisturiser dry fully before applying it. (eldw needs to be applied straight over moisturiser to avoid the caked on look) Smile

Funnily enough I found that site last night, it matched me pretty well.
