Boots reveal New No.7 Lift & Luminate Triple Action Serum

What do you think of this new serum and do you think it's suitable for someone not (quite) 40 yet?

No idea, just saw it today, but their other serums are excellent.

That's what I was thinking Cointreau and this looks like a new and improved version so I was wondering whether I should get this instead of the protect and perfect, even though strictly speaking I'm in the 'green' age group and not the 'blue' one.

Tried the tester on my hand in store and left it feeling really smooth and was well absorbed. I've got a £5 off Boots No 7 serums so am thinking about using it towards the Lift and Illuminate Triple Action serum. Review seems good on those trialled and it's meant to be clinically proven, so I'd be interested to hear what you think (Gwenhwyfar) and anyone else.

I've just got it as I'd just finished my old one, which I had liked, been through two tubes of it.

The new one is lighter and makes my skin feel very smooth.

I think I'll use the £5 voucher to try the day time moisturiser.

Do you think it has silicone in it?
I'd like to try it but silicone gives me spots.

The word silicone doesn't appear in the ingredients list on the box. I don't know any more than that.

Dimethicone is the second ingredient, which is a silicone. Various other forms of this appear throughout the ingredients list. It is full of silicone, which is why it absorbs so quickly and leaves the silky smooth feeling.

I'm 47 and I have used the protect and perfect intense advance one for last few years which I love. I took the plunge and bought this new one yesterday with £5 off voucher. Even risked splurging on the 50ml tube. Well I used it last night for the first time and woke up this morning and skin definitely better than usual. Wrinkles are sort of smoothed out more (less etched) and skin soft and glowy - I think the hype about this might be true. Really pleased I bought it!

I have even though the sales assistant tried to discourage me as it's aimed at an older skin (my view is prevention is better than cure!).

I've loved it, really soft skin, my pores nave been clearer (although I have used a tool to get out sebaceous filliments-they've come out much easier thank usual) and fine lines have been reduced (I don't have wrinkles).

I've been using it since launch day, so around a fortnight I suppose.

It's aimed at 45-60. According to the blurb on the website and in the shops.

I've been using protect and perfect advanced for a couple of years, and been v pleased with it. But I'm 48, so I started using the new stuff last week (although when I was in the shop the pusher told me I should be looking at the protect and perfect until I pointed out I was in the age range for the blue stuff. I don't necessarily credit the p&p serum for looking younger than I am, I'm very wee and I think that's what makes me look younger - ok my skin doesn't 'give me away' but it's my size and demeanour (and how I dress probably) that forms opinion the most, I think). So far so good, I don't think I necessarily look any better since starting using the blue stuff but I don't look worse. And I like it, it feels nice and it smells nice (I'm a super senser :( so lots of stuff smells too rank to me to even contemplate using). Those vouchers expire in Sunday incidentally, if anyone is holding on to one...

But I suppose it depends what sort of Nick your skin is in to begin with? Maybe?

I dunno, I think in a few years they will have to rethink their what is suitable for what age advice, if the green stuff works (and I think perhaps it does, a bit at least) then, if you've been using that for ages, maybe you won't need to move on to the hard stuff at 45...

I'm 31 for a few more days yet and I've considered this, as I can't see what harm it would do. Already use the p&p and like that, although the initial effects have worn off slightly.
